President Donald Trump’s decision to delay a small-scale deportation operation has created an opening for Sen. Lindsey Graham’s push to swap an amnesty for border reforms, say pro-immigration reformers. Graham already “is negotiating with [Democratic Sen. Richard] Durbin — [and] he’s not pulling the Republicans together” to present a united front, said Jessica Vaughan, policy director at the Center for Immigration Studies. On June 19, for example, Graham told Democratic Senators at a committee meeting that he is willing to trade an amnesty to get a border fixes. “I am willing to deal with DACA [Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals]...

Former Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) offered some praise for President Trump, saying he’s energized a base of Republican voters who didn’t previously participate in politics. “What I think people get excited about is he's not taking any crap,” Ryan said Sunday in a wide-ranging interview with PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff. “I mean, he’s taking on political correctness, he’s taking fights that a lot of people want to see fought. The forgotten man that he speaks to is a person that finally feels like they’re being taken seriously, they’re being paid attention to. And he’s concerned about their issues.” Ryan, who...

It has been commonplace over the years for many to compare the eventual fall of America with the fall of Rome. All civilizations rise and fall, and there are, of course, many parallels between them when they do fall. Some even use the fall of Athenian democracy as another parallel. Plato complained in the Republic that democracy inherently leads to amateurism, anarchy, mob rule and eventually despotism. However, the fact of the matter is, that while the fall of any empire and country can be studied and used as a historical warning to what may happen in the future, what...

No matter how noble, no matter how heroic, no matter how virtuous, no matter how selfless, no matter how passionate, no matter how courageous etc.. etc... When ANYONE leaves out the ETERNAL Creator from time’s hopeless dilemma and His ETERNAL absolutes of RIGHTEOUSNESS all is doomed and absolute vanity (Eccl. 12:13-14, Rev. 20:11-15)! There are absolutely NO utopias here in this world and there will NEVER be, yet the world in its subjective GODLESS delusion seeks to achieve this la-la land fantasy with relativism, lawlessness, decadence, unrighteousness and Machiavellianism (Prov. 16:25, Rom. 1:18-32, Jude 1:10-13). This world seeks true peace...

Justice Neil Gorsuch joined with the Supreme Court’s liberal wing to strike down a federal criminal law as unconstitutionally vague Monday. The law at issue involved additional penalties for offenders who use guns to commit “crimes of violence.” Monday’s decision is the second time that Gorsuch has delivered the fifth vote with the liberals to strike down a law on vagueness grounds. Justice Neil Gorsuch joined with the Supreme Court’s liberal bloc to deal victory for criminal defendants Monday, striking down a federal law that punishes gun crimes as unconstitutionally vague. The law at issue authorizes heightened penalties for individuals...

Former Fox News reporter Carl Cameron said Monday that he left the network favored by conservatives because "right-wing hosts drowned out straight journalism with partisan misinformation." Cameron made the remarks in a promotional video about why he joined Front Page Live, a website whose goal, in part, is to serve as an antidote to the conservative Drudge Report. "What’s a former Fox guy doing here on Front Page Live, partnering with progressives?" Cameron, who worked at Fox News for more than two decades, said in the video. "Well, it’s about facts, not partisanship." Cameron, now Front Page Live's chief political...

No matter how far to the left much of the mainstream media may swing, I’ll confess to never having seen this one coming. At the Washington Post this week, Jackson Diehl pens an op-ed about the horrific conditions in Venezuela. Regular readers are already familiar with the tragic story because we cover it here every week. Four million refugees have now fled the country and are outstripping the humanitarian aid available in Colombia and other neighboring nations. The lack of food, potable water and medical supplies inside Venezuela literally has people falling down dead in the streets. Violence and starvation...

At the dawn of the USSR, hopes of the imminent global rule of communism soared high among leftists of the world. But in a few decades, it became clear that the socialistic ideals of Lenin had failed. How did this come to happen? “It is important to distinguish socialism from communism,” says Elena Malysheva, dean at the Division of Archival Studies at the Institute for History and Archives. “While socialism was the formal type of state administration of the USSR, communism was the ruling ideology. The project of the socialist state was initially utopian and populistic.” “The Soviet project contained...

The English Court of Appeals has reversed a decision to force a woman with developmental disabilities to have an abortion, overturning a decision from Justice Nathalie Lieven on June 21 in England's Court of Protection. The woman in question is 22 weeks pregnant, meaning the abortion would've been late-term. In her ruling, Lieven explained that she "has to operate" in the woman's "best interests, not on society's views of termination.†She reportedly accepted the opinion of NHS trust, which concluded that an abortion would be less traumatic for the pregnant woman than giving birth. In its overturning, the Court of Appeals...

Sparks will fly in Washington as activists torch an American flag to protest President Trump's July Fourth "Salute to America," which Trump claims will be one of the largest events in city history. Longtime flag-burning activist Gregory "Joey" Johnson of the Revolutionary Communist Party told the Washington Examiner, "I'm going to be there in D.C.," and "that rag of empire and oppression is going to burn." Johnson is well known for winning a 1989 Supreme Court case that invalidated state laws against flag burning. He declined to share the time and location of next week's protest or say how many...

President Trump on Monday signed an executive order demanding the upfront disclosure by hospitals of the actual prices for common tests and procedures. Trump's order also requires that patients be told ahead of time what their out-of-pocket costs like deductibles and copays will be for many procedures. “This landmark initiative continues our work to put American patients first,” Trump said at the White House. “We are fundamentally changing the nature of the health care marketplace.”

“This is what I was wearing 23 years ago when Donald Trump attacked me in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room.” With those words—and an accompanying image—on the cover of New York magazine, E. Jean Carroll, the longtime advice columnist for Elle, became at least the 22nd woman to accuse the president of the United States of sexual misconduct. The allegation features in an excerpt—published Friday, from Carroll’s new book—about the “hideous men” she says have assaulted her; that group also includes Les Moonves, the former CEO of CBS. Despite the litany of claims against Trump, Carroll is only the second...

Democrats on Capitol Hill want Americans to believe they're super serious about conducting oversight of the Trump administration, but their behavior last week again proves the opposite. They are unprofessional and unserious hacks out to attack President Trump and anyone who dares to work for him. Former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks testified behind closed doors in front of the House Judiciary Committee last week. She flew in from California with a team of lawyers to do so after already cooperating for hours with the Mueller investigation. During her testimony, Democrats were taking photos of her. It got...

It’s been another momentous week for anti-American Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the New York ‘Democratic Socialist.’ She began the week insulting the memories of Jewish Americans and their loved ones who suffered mightily at the hands of the barbarous Nazi regime that, under Hitler’s orders, attempted to exterminate an entire race from the face the earth. Known as “The Holocaust,” Nazi Germany killed more than 6 million Jews during World War II, most by gassing them to death but also via exhaustion, deprivation, and starvation in concentration camps.

CHICAGO — It’s known here as The Exodus. People are leaving Illinois in droves. Republicans blame the state’s high taxes and its unfunded pension liability, which tops $130 billion. Democrats believe it’s the state’s lack of investment in education and infrastructure. One thing is certain: Illinois’ population has declined by 157,000 residents over the past five years, making it one of only two states — West Virginia is the other — to lose people over the past decade. Illinois’ predicament is a perfect storm of declining manufacturing, stagnant immigration, declining birth rates, young people leaving for college and never coming...
