“Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, ‘You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.’ ” - Mark 1:9–11 Heresy is false teaching that strikes at the essential truths of Christianity, and we are warned throughout Scripture that heretics will attempt to lead God’s people astray (Deut. 13:1–5; Acts 20:29–31). The history of Christian theology is in many ways...

Opinion| The United States Military might have come up with the perfect system to solve our border issues. The military has now introduced the Active Denial System, which conservative commentator Glenn Beck feels might be the answer to our problems. Conservative Tribune reports, "You may not have heard of the ADS, which has been a topic of debate for over a decade now. The non-lethal deterrent system been labeled by both military personnel and press alike as a 'pain ray' — which, I suppose, is a catchier way to refer to it than ADS. The U.K. Telegraph, describing the system...

As I was preparing for the trip, I found myself wondering: Could there be anything related to Protestantism in the worldÂ’s most Catholic city? Feeling mischievous, I did some research, talked to a few people in the know, and decided to go looking. Though it was slim pickings, the things I did find fascinated me. What follows is a list of four things my fellow mischievous Protestants ought to look for while visiting the city of Rome. And even if you do not have the opportunity to visit, you can still see the pictures and read the descriptions of Protestant...

Do you remember the "Liberator" pistol? Its chambers a crude single-shot .45 ACP used during World War II. The gun was intended to be used among allied resistance fighters in occupied territories. Its small and easily concealed. When Heizer Defense came out with its pocket pistol, I wondered if they were inspired by the Liberator. Originally, it chambered a .45 Colt round and a .410 shotshell. HD went on to modularize it so it can fire a .223 Remington and 7.62x39mm via barrel assemblies. Yes, you can change barrels and calibers quickly. -This single-shot .410 handgun is simple and robust...

The past week has provided plenty of proof that beating Donald Trump in 2020 is going to be a lot harder than the Democrats (and their cheerleaders in the media and Hollywood) would like to believe. Let's start with his rally in Orlando Tuesday night. That was the official announcement of Trump's intention to seek a second term as president of the United States. Orlando's Amway Center seats over 20,000 people, and Trump addressed a rowdy capacity crowd. Thousands more tailgated outside, and watch parties were held all across the country. It is evident that enthusiasm for Trump has not...

Former NFL player Burgess Owens blasted the Democratic Party on Wednesday as he testified to the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties on the issue of reparations. “The focus of the discussion was a bill authored by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) that would initiate a study of the issue of reparations and come up with proposals for ‘appropriate remedies’ to slavery and discrimination from 1619 to the present,” The Blaze reported. “Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) publicly opposed reparations in comments made Tuesday, saying he doesn't ‘think reparations for something that happened 150...

OTTAWA, June 19, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — The parents of a six-year-old girl who was upset after her teacher told her class “there is no such thing as boys and girls” have filed a human rights complaint against the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, alleging the teacher discriminated by creating a “poisoned environment.” The child’s mother, Pamela Buffone, told Barbara Kay in a story published in the Post Millennial that her daughter became increasingly distressed after her teacher showed the class a video “He, She and They?!? — Gender: Queer Kid Stuff #2” to her six-year-old students in January 2018. A second aide to New Hampshire Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan is facing federal charges stemming from a scheme to publicly post the personal information of several Republican politicians amid the contentious confirmation hearings for now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The aide, Samantha Deforest Davis, was a staff assistant in Hassan’s office from August 2017 until last December. She was fired after Capitol Police discovered her possible involvement in the so-called "doxing" effort. Court documents accuse Davis of aiding 27-year-old Jackson A. Wagons, circle. In the wake of AOC’s latest stupid comment, in which she conflates detention of immigrants seeking to enter our country illegally with the Nazi extermination of Jews, we get Democrats ‘splaining it away: “Don’t feign outrage at the language that people use to describe this tragedy,” says Senator Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii “One of the lessons from the Holocaust is ‘Never Again’ – not only to mass murder, but also to the dehumanization of people, violations of basic rights, and assaults on our common morality. We fail to learn that lesson when we don’t callout such inhumanity right in...

In May 2018, the Donald Trump administration withdrew the United States from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with Iran, popularly known as the Iran nuclear deal. The United States then ramped up sanctions on the Iranian theocracy to try to ensure that it stopped nuclear enrichment. The Trump administration also hoped a strapped Iran would become less capable of funding terrorist operations in the Middle East and beyond, proxy wars in the Persian Gulf, and the opportune harassment of ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The sanctions are clearly destroying an already weak Iranian economy. Iran is now suffering...

June 20 2019 « June 19 | June 21 » Thursday of the Eleventh Week in Ordinary TimeLectionary: 368 Reading 1 2 Cor 11:1-11 Brothers and sisters: If only you would put up with a little foolishness from me! Please put up with me. For I am jealous of you with the jealousy of God, since I betrothed you to one husband to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts may be corrupted from a sincere and pure commitment to Christ. For if someone...
