A CNN poll revealed that most Americans believe President Trump will win reelection in 2020. A CNN report says the poll, conducted by SSRS, finds 54 percent of people think that the president will win reelection, while 41 percent don’t think so. The new poll suggests that Trump’s push for 2020 is gathering momentum. According to CNN‘s results in December, 51 percent of respondents predicted Trump would lose in 2020. CNN also said that Trump’s rating is higher than former president Barack Obama’s rating was at the same point in his presidency. In May 2011, right after the death of...

So this is one of those historic dates that seems to be slipping faster and faster out of sight, receding into a past at such a rate that we who were born afterwards, or long afterwards, can just barely see. But it was such an enormous, monumental enterprise – so longed looked for, so carefully planned and involved so many soldiers, sailors and airmen – of course the memory would linger long afterwards. Think of looking down from the air, at that great metal armada, spilling out from every harbor, every estuary along England’s coast. Think of the sound of...

Fifty years after patrons at the Stonewall Inn refused to be silent and sparked a civil rights movement for gay Americans, Pride events are a familiar tradition in many states. Parades, teach-ins and panel discussions throughout June affirm the dignity of people who have been historically marginalized and continue to face discrimination. While religious leaders take part in LGBT Pride Month celebrations, a Catholic bishop’s tweet this week provoked contentious social media debates about whether faithful Catholics should attend such events, given the church’s opposition to same-sex marriage and teachings about homosexuality.

Excerpt - "Taylor is a luminous figure in the story of D Day, one of the forty-seven immortals of Omaha who, by their dauntless initiative at widely separated points along the beach, saved the landing from total stagnation and disaster. Courage and luck are his in extraordinary measure."

The U.S economy added 75,000 jobs in May, the Labor Department reported Friday, falling short of expectations by nearly 100,000 jobs.. Economists expected the U.S. to add roughly 185,000 jobs in May after a massive gain of more than 200,000 jobs in April. But employment growth fell well short of that mark in May, though the unemployment rate and labor force participation rate stayed even at 3.6 percent and 62.8 percent respectively. The Labor Department also revised down March’s gain from 189,000 to 153,000 jobs, and April’s gain from 263,000 to 224,000 jobs. The revision shave 75,000 jobs off the...

My column two weeks ago on Ilhan Omar’s Marriage Fraud Immunity Card mentioned the Minnesota state investigation of her use of campaign funds for personal expenses related to her divorce, plus other spending for out-of-state travel. The report was released today on her shady spending practices in response to Minnesota state Rep. Steve Drazkowski’s complaints last year. She has been ordered to pay about $4,000 in reimbursements & fines, plus file amended disclosures. I’ve uploaded the report, conclusions, and orders in full and you can read it here. snip.. . . . I just think he's startled," the manager said of the “Empire” actor to the emergency dispatcher. “What’s really weird, ma’am, just because I’m scared. I don’t know what it is. They put a noose around his neck.” . . . “I work with an artist. I don’t really want to say his name, but he states that … he went to Subway (sandwich shop) he was walking by, and some guys … jumped him or something like that,” the manager said. “And I just want to report it and make sure he’s all right.” . . ....

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem (Old Testament) 1 Kings 10 The Queen of Sheba Visits Solomon 10 When the queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon and his relationship to the Lord, she came to test Solomon with hard questions. 2 Arriving at Jerusalem with a very great caravan—with camels carrying spices, large quantities of gold, and precious stones—she came to Solomon and talked with him about all that she had on her mind. 3 Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too hard for the king to explain to her. 4 When the queen of Sheba saw all the...

Washington gay pride parade is banning participants from brandishing Israeli flags, Israeli pride flags, or any "pro-Israel paraphernalia" during its event on Friday. Yael Horowitz, a Jewish organizer of the D.C. Dyke March, said organizers had decided to ban "nationalist symbols," including flags and banners that represent "nations that have specific oppressive tendencies." Palestinian flags would be allowed, however, the Forward reported. It was unclear if this was a tacit acknowledgment of Palestinians not having a true state. It was also unclear if organizers were aware of the lack of LGBT protections for gay Palestinians, including the illegality of male...

Shortly after the Civil War and the passage of the 14th Amendment, the US Supreme Court decided the Slaughter-House cases. Historically, many people have looked at these decisions as severely limiting the ability of the federal government and federal courts from interfering with state government functions by using the Privileges and Immunities clause of the 14th Amendment. Regardless of your position on that debate, this article looks at how the decision by Justice Miller in 1873 actually provides a strong precedent for using the Privileges and Immunities clause of the 14th Amendment against all sanctuary states, counties, and cities. Privileges...

What really happened on the cross? Was the death of Jesus a human tragedy whereby a good man was brutally and unfairly slain? Was His death an example of faith, obedience, and self-sacrifice? Was it a ransom paid to the Devil? A victory over the Devil? A manifestation of moral influence? Was the cross an atonement? Did it involve expiation and propitiation for sin? Was it a supernatural act done to satisfy the wrath and justice of God? Each of these individually and several in combination have been set forth as the real meaning of Christ’s death. How we understand...

Nearly one million tickets have been sold for the Women’s World Cup before the start of the tournament on Friday, organisers say. In the biggest and – Fifa, football’s governing body, hopes – the best Women’s World Cup yet, France play South Korea at the Parc des Princes in the first of 52 games. The host nation hopes to emulate the success of the men’s team in Russia last year and make history by becoming first country to hold both World Cups at the same time. A survey of notoriously left-leaning historians conducted by C-Span last year ranked Ronald Reagan well ahead of Democrat icons Bill Clinton and Barack Obama in the “best U.S. presidents” contest. Since it’s nothing more than a popularity poll I would deem it meaningless but for one thing: while in office Ronald Reagan was disliked and maligned nearly as much as President Trump is today. That he cracked the top 10 at all is astounding. Not that the media was as blatant about their liberal leanings during the Reagan years as they are now that they enjoy the very vocal support...

“Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon” (Proverbs 7:15-17 KJV).

Who will be the first Democrat running for president to propose Robert Mueller for attorney general? Surely one of them will. Always popular with the Democrats, Mueller, once a RINO (Republican in Name Only and always a CD (Closet Democrat), is such a smash hit in Washington after throwing President Donald Trump under the bus that he could even become a candidate’s vice presidential running mate

“‘No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth’” (Matthew 6:24). Just as we cannot have our treasures both in earth and in heaven or our bodies both in light and in darkness, we cannot “serve two masters.” The Greek word for “masters” is often translated “lord,” and often refers to a slave owner. By definition, a slave owner has total control of the slave. For a slave there is no such thing as partial...

This is a listing of the various types, and sub-classifications of American conservatism today. As one delves deeper, one can clearly see that modern American conservatism comes in many types, shapes and flavors. There is no “one size fits all” American conservative. Here we discuss 29 different types of American conservative. The key to the success of any Presidential Conservative candidate or President is to be able to unite all these disparate groups under one singular banner. Is it even possible?
