In the late 1960s, the BBC produced this magisterial series. I learn something new from it every time I watch it. The entire series is on YouTube and well worth the twelve hours. They would never do something like this today.

Video footage of SpaceX’s Crew Dragon space capsule exploding on the ground during an April 20 test at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida was leaked online by the next day. Yet SpaceX and NASA are unacceptably dragging their feet in explaining this taxpayer-financed fiasco in the American space program and thus continued SpaceX’s worrisome undue influence on government. SpaceX’s April 20 press release with its “anomaly” euphemism was immediately contradicted by images provided by a photographer from a local Florida publication covering a surfing festival on a beach near Cape Canaveral. In the telling photos, toxic reddish smoke...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) falsely claimed Wednesday that Democrats have “never” denied that there is a “crisis” on the U.S.-Mexico border — a statement directly contradicted by the words of multiple party leaders just months ago. “Well, let me just say this. We have never not said that there was a crisis — there is a humanitarian crisis at the border, and some of it provoked by the actions taken by the administration,” Pelosi stated during her weekly press conference in the Capitol Visitor Center on Wednesday.

“‘“Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”’” (Matthew 6:10). Two polar opposite views of God’s will can cause Christians to have faulty understandings of prayer and the accomplishing of God’s purposes. On the one hand, some see His will as absolutely deterministic—whatever will be, will be. They either pray little at all, figuring the divine will is inevitable, or they are resignedly obedient, praying for God’s will simply because He tells them to. Neither approach to prayer demonstrates faith. Viewing God’s sovereignty in a fatalistic, prayerless way robs us of the joy of aligning our wills...

Presidential contenders are in a battle to out give one another. Senator Elizabeth Warren proposes a whopping $50,000 per student college loan forgiveness. Senator Bernie Sanders proposes free health care for all Americans plus illegal aliens. Most Democratic presidential candidates promise free stuff that includes free college, universal income, "Medicare for All" and debt forgiveness. Their socialist predecessors made promises too. "Freedom and Bread" was the slogan used by Adolf Hitler during the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nazi) campaign against president Paul von Hindenburg. Hitler even promised, "In the Third Reich every German girl will find a husband." Stalin...

President Trump spoke with reporters on Wednesday morning following his meeting with Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. This was also after Pelosi told reporters earlier that President Trump was involved in a “cover-up.” President Trump left the meetings and held an impromptu press conference with the liberal White House press corps. President Trump told reporters, “I don’t do cover-ups.” Trump again told reporters there was “no collusion” and “obstruction.” According to the Number 2 Democrat in the US Senate, Dick Durbin, the president walked into the room with Pelosi and Schumer, blasted them, cancelled the meeting on the spot...

Chick-fil-A is vilified by the American left — and particularly the LGBTQ+ community — like few other American companies. The reason is clear: They are honest, biblical Christians in their beliefs and statements, including on marriage being between one man and one woman — because that is what the Bible explicitly says and what all of Christianity and the rest of the world believed through all of history until, literally just a few years ago. But that adherence to biblical norms in today’s America means they must be crushed by the activist LGBTQ+ left that seeks to destroy anyone who...

WASHINGTON — The impeachment chorus in the House is growing larger and louder — and it's no longer just the safe-district partisan liberals who think it's time for the Judiciary Committee to open a formal inquiry into President Donald Trump's possible obstruction of justice. The usual suspects from the progressive wing of the party have been more forceful behind closed doors and in front of TV cameras in recent days, and they've been bolstered by a discernible shift among less-prominent members of the rank and file. "I’ve come to think that it is warranted at this point given what appears...

Milton, Fla (WKRG)- A woman posted a video on Facebook of what appears to be a Wendy's employee taking a bath in the sink. The young man is shirtless and barefoot in the kitchen before climbing into the sink full of soapy suds. "Go, go go go, oh s**** a person says in the background, encouraging the behavior, "take a bath, take a bath. Get in there."

VIDEO Following his Philadelphia "kickoff" campaign rally and a Florida fundraising tour, Joe Biden has gone into a state of deep hibernation. His campaign Facebook page shows NO future events scheduled for him. In addition, his OFFICIAL (not parody) website reveals only TWO Biden campaign events scheduled, neither of which includes Biden himself. One is for a group of folks to stand on some street corner in Manchester, NH to hold up Biden signs and the other is for some neighbors to gather for drinks in Media, PA and tell each other how enthusiastic they are for the sleeping Joe...

The prime minister is facing calls to resign amid a backlash against her Brexit plan from Conservative MPs. There have been growing calls for her to quit from her own MPs unhappy with the compromises she has set out in her Withdrawal Agreement Bill. Several cabinet ministers have told the BBC that Mrs May cannot stay on, while others insisted she must present her plan to the Commons. The PM told the Commons there needed to be "compromise on all sides". The BBC's political editor Laura Kuenssberg also said the so-called "Pizza Club" of Brexiteer cabinet members have been meeting...

Just yesterday we were talking about the political pressure that’s been building on Speaker Nancy Pelosi from members of her caucus who are demanding impeachment proceedings against President Trump. Up until this point, Pelosi has wisely been resisting, likely knowing where that road ends. But last night the noisy Democrats appeared to have become too much for her to resist any longer. The Speaker has called a meeting this morning with Democratic leaders and the subject is impeachment. (Fox News) A rapid-fire string of developments has congressional Democrats putting increased pressure on party brass to launch impeachment proceedings against President...

While some may be taking the latest news out of Venezuela as a hopeful note, it may actually spell the beginning of the end of any hope that dictator Nicolas Maduro will be removed from power. We’re hearing from representatives of self-declared interim President Juan Guaido that he is now willing to enter into “negotiations†with Maduro, an option he had rejected as recently as last week. They already have representatives meeting in Norway where they’re trying to find a way out of the current quagmire. And with public support for Guaido’s calls to replace Maduro appearing to decline, it...

Men and women who once lived and identified as LGBT are set to proclaim how encountering Jesus transformed their lives for the second time in the nation's capital this weekend. The Freedom March, founded by Jeffrey McCall, is diverse group of Christians who have left the active practice of homosexuality and transgenderism behind and are testifying to the power of the Holy Spirit who set them free from sexual sin and wounds of all kinds. “I was transformed through the grace of Jesus and found that others have been as well. These marches are a way to ensure that others...

Yes, this is an odd time to be talking about the Olympic Games, since we’re sort of in the middle of a cycle. But it’s worth pointing out that the 2022 Winter Olympics are out there on the horizon and they’re going to be in Beijing. (Technically in a bunch of places across China, but that’s the center.) It’s something I look forward to because I really enjoy watching the curling. But wait, you might be thinking. Didn’t China just host the games pretty recently? Yes, they did. They hosted the Summer Olympics in 2008 and put on one...

In 1978, a Harvard Business School student named Dan Bricklin was sitting in a classroom, watching his accounting lecturer filling in rows and columns on the blackboard. Every time the lecturer changed a figure, he had to work down and across the grid on the board, erasing and rewriting other numbers to make everything add up, just as accounting clerks all over the world did every day in the pages of their ledgers. It's boring and repetitive work. A two-page spread across the open fold of the ledger is called a "spreadsheet". --- It's a cliche that the robots are...

Willie Geist asked Susan Del Percio what she would do about impeachment "if you were a Democrat?" MSNBC still passes Del Percio off as a "Republican" strategist. But it appears that the most recent person she strategized for was Andrew Cuomo, the liberal Democrat governor of New York. On today's Morning Joe, Del Percio urged Democrats to impeach President Trump, saying "they should be acting now." She thus puts herself to the activist left of Nancy Pelosi. Del Percio also touted having recently called on Senate Republicans to reject President Trump's call for emergency border security. Del Percio is a...
