Ben, I’m doing this article for you as I promised, and I hope it will help you (and others) to make those decisions in the critical moments and days following an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) event. Although I had plenty of science courses in college, I am not a scientist. Certainly someone with a scientific background will comment on this article. Let me state this: Scientists, I welcome all comments, positive or negative, but please make them proactive. These articles are forums where the writers are “emcees” that introduce topics for discussion and present some salient points. You guys and gals...

... Since January, there has been a shortage of subs in Autauga County, which leaders say is a first for the school system. The shortage means students may be disbursed and placed in another class for the day or teachers take turns during their planning period. Superintendent Spence Agee says the shortage is due to the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. The law requires large employers to provide insurance for employees working more than 30 hours a week. Due to the requirement, the schools have had to cut back on substitutes' hours, only allowing them to work three...

My Dad was awarded the DFC in World War 2. He was an Army Air Corps pilot, flying C-47s in CBI, North Africa and Italy. I need assistance in getting a copy of the award citation. I am having his medals framed to present to my nephew and I'd like to be able to tell him what his Pop-pop did to earn the award. Can someone tell me whom to contact, presumably in the DoD? Many thanks.

The cure for any fear of Islam or the Islamic hoards being relocated to America's shores is the loving fear of the God of the Bible, and Humor! Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

RUSH: We got CNN and an incredible piece of journalism. I guess they do that now and then at CNN. Accidental journalism, out of Baltimore. "Baltimore Police Investigation Doesn't Support Some of Prosecution's Charges." This piece undercuts and undermines Marilyn Mosby... I've been watching the news this morning, as I always have these TV monitors on, and now there are people openly worrying if Mosby's case fails, if Baltimore will burn to the ground. I literally saw somebody speculate about that possibility. That if Mosby's case fails against the six cops, if it fails, that Baltimore is gonna burn, and...

The notion that a rape victim deserved to be raped because she was wearing a tight outfit lights up all our red lights. This is the case first and foremost because it absolves the rapist of responsibility for his crime. Then too, attempts to blame a rape victim for her victimization infuriate us because they are substantively untrue. If men are more likely to rape women in tight clothing then rape should be all but non-existent in traditional Islamic societies. Yet the opposite is the case. Rape and sexual abuse are endemic to such societies. According to the UN, a...

Cruz- “This bill was a missed opportunity. If Congress had acted to defend our constitutional authority – if Congress had adopted the Cruz-Toomey amendment – then we would be able to stop a bad Iran deal. Instead, the odds are now overwhelming that under these ground rules President Obama will negotiate, and Congress will acquiesce to, a terrible deal that allows Iran to acquire nuclear weapons and will endanger the lives of millions of Americans and our allies. “I voted no on cloture because we should have insisted on amendments to put real teeth in this bill. Ultimately, I voted...

The rumors began trickling in about a week before the scheduled vote on April 23: Republican leadership was quietly pushing senators to pull support for subpoenaing Congress’s fraudulent application to the District of Columbia’s health exchange — the document that facilitated Congress’s “exemption” from Obamacare by allowing lawmakers and staffers to keep their employer subsidies. A US operation has killed the senior al-Qaida figure who issued the claim of responsibility for the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris, according to US sources familiar with the matter and a reported video posted by the group. Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) said that its ideologue Nasser bin Ali al-Ansi was killed with his eldest son and other fighters in Yemen in a US air strike, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which cited the online video. Reuters could not independently verify the video. Ansi's death would suggest the covert US drone program against the Yemen branch of...

Carter the Elder has spoken. What says Obama the Younger? Former US president Jimmy Carter has created a stir with his call for Palestinian Arabs to hold elections to end the internecine struggle between Hamas and the PLO in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and Gaza. Speaking at a joint news conference with PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah - after cancelling his stop in Gaza where he was supposed to meet Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh – Carter – now a member of the independent Elders Group of global leaders - declared:.

...In the course of both Boyd's and Watrous' excavations, more than 50 houses or areas with evidence of industrial activity have been uncovered -- 20 areas producing pottery, 15 producing stone vases, 18 producing bronze and bronze implements, and some with evidence for textile production. At one location on the north edge of the settlement, Buell points out an area of burned bedrock inside a space identified as a foundry. 'Here we have all sorts of scraps of bronze crucibles, bronze drips, copper scraps, and iron used for flux. Elsewhere, we also found a tin ingot, the closest known source...

Despite threatening language, Vladimir Putin is not going to start a nuclear war, according to Yuri Shvets, who studied along with him at the KGB’s Andropov Institute. Putin’s only desire is to remain in power for life, he says, and he knows Russia’s nuclear weapon delivery systems aren’t accurate enough for a first strike that would not result in national suicide. “Do you seriously think, that a man who annually disappears from public view for seven to ten days in order to have a facelift and to fill himself up with Botox is capable of unleashing a nuclear war?”

How about the FBI investigating this couple and their Foundation? Every time we think the corruption cannot get any worse, here come the Clintons to prove us wrong again. The Russian state-owned atomic agency Rosatom bought a 17% share in Uranium One, a Canadian owned company with uranium mines in Wyoming. Senator John Barrosso of Wyoming and several congressmen raised their concerns about this deal. However, the deal was approved by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). CFIUS is a small executive task force that evaluates investment transactions by foreign companies in the United States. It...

By Amil Imani/American Thinker Islam enjoys a large and influential ally among the non—Muslims: A new generation of ‘Useful Idiots,’ the sort of people Lenin identified living in liberal democracies who furthered the work of communism. This new generation of Useful Idiots also lives in liberal democracies, but serves the cause of Islamofascism—another virulent form of totalitarian ideology. Useful Idiots are naive, foolish, ignorant of facts, unrealistically idealistic, dreamers, willfully in denial or deceptive. They hail from the ranks of the chronically unhappy, the anarchists, the aspiring revolutionaries, the neurotics who are at war with life, the disaffected alienated from...

“American liberalism today”, writes Jonah Goldberg, “sees no realm of human life that is beyond political significance, from what you eat to what you smoke to what you say. Sex is political. Food is political. Sports, entertainment, your inner motives and outer appearance, all have political salience for liberal fascists”. While Liberal fascism differs from classical fascism, what unites them are their “emotional or instinctual impulses, such as the quest for community, a faith in the perfect ability of man, the authority of experts, and an obsession with the cult of action, and the need for an all-powerful state”, notes...
