Today, April 24, we remember how exactly 100 years ago the last historic Muslim caliphate, the Ottoman Empire, tried to cleanse its empire of Christian minorities — Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks — even as we stand by watching as the new caliphate, the Islamic State, resumes the genocide. And in both cases, the atrocities were and are being committed in the name of Islam. In November, 1914, during WWI, the Ottoman caliphate issued a fatwa, or Islamic decree, proclaiming it a “sacred duty” for all Muslims to “massacre” infidels — specifically naming the “Christian men” of the Triple Entente, “the enemies of...

A Texas police officer was following protocol Tuesday when he was caught on video throwing a drunk woman to the ground, knocking her unconscious, his police chief said. On cell phone video, a witness captured Round Rock Officer Ben Johnson slamming the woman to the ground in front of her 6-year-old daughter in a strip mall parking lot. Viviana Keith, who was allegedly resisting arrest, hit her head on the pavement and was knocked out, KVUE reported Thursday. Keith's mother and some witnesses to the incident have accused Johnson of using excessive force. But according to KVUE, Round Rock Police...

Feb 9, 2011: KENOSHA — Retired Kenosha County Circuit Judge Barbara Kluka had no idea that local judges and lawyers had nominated her for a lifetime achievement award. So, when she got the call this week that she was getting the State Bar of Wisconsin’s highest honor, she was more than surprised. “I am thrilled. I am honored. I am elated,” Kluka said today. She will receive the award during a ceremony in June. The Kenosha County Bar Association nominated Kluka, said Patrick Anderson, a local prosecutor and president of the organization. The news might have been a shock for...

Sources at the Department of Homeland Security report to PJ Media that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services is reallocating significant resources to sending letters to all 9,000,000 green card holders urging them to naturalize prior to the 2016 election. President Obama’s amnesty by edict has always been about adding new Democrats to the voter rolls, and recent action by the Department of Homeland Security provides further proof. Sources at the Department of Homeland Security report to PJ Media that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services is reallocating significant resources away from a computer system — the “Electronic...

A Nashville swingers club has undergone a conversion — it says it's now a church — in order to win city approval so it can open next to a Christian school. The story began last fall, when a fixture in downtown Nashville called The Social Club sold its building and purchased a new one in a run-down office park several miles to the east. The new building is geographically isolated at the end of a dead-end street, but it is near the back of Goodpasture Christian School, a large private school serving pre-school through high school children. It might have...

Senate Democrats still control the U.S. Senate, election results last November aside, an analysis of all the votes taken since Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) took over as Majority Leader shows. In fact, with two minor exceptions, every single vote that has passed the U.S. Senate since the beginning of this Congress in January has passed with at least—usually more than—93 percent of support from Democrats. “While Republicans have done nothing to create jobs and help the middle class, on other topics like passing clean funding for Homeland Security and confirming Loretta Lynch, Senator McConnell has done the right thing by...

Complete Headline: Republican Senate Confirms AG Who Says Illegals Have Right to Work But Partially Born Babies Have No Right to Life A Republican-controlled U.S. Senate voted to confirm an attorney general today who says that illegal aliens have a right to work in the United States but that partially born babies do not have a right to life. The Senate took two votes on the nomination of Loretta Lynch: first, a "cloture" vote to end debate and allow a final vote on confirmation, and, then, the final vote itself. Neither of these votes would have taken place had not...

It seems the New York Times has gotten itself all worked up because Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz attended an event in his honor at the Manhattan apartment of — gasp! — “two prominent gay hoteliers.” (Apparently one cannot simply be a ‘hotelier’ these days — a sexual identifier is required.) It’s obvious that Times reporter Maggie Haberman thought she had found the smoking gun that would tarnish Cruz’s conservative credentials forever when she reported that he’s not a hateful bigot or something. ”Mr. Cruz said he would not love his daughters any differently if one of them was gay,”...

A series of pro-life banners of images of 11-week-old fetuses in the womb saw mere hours of daylight at the University of Southern California on Tuesday prior to being removed by the same university organization that had initially approved them. The light poles instead featured hand-written signs posted on them reading, “Women deserve the right to choose.” “It is unbelievable that USC removed all the posters that were put up around the school,” USC College Republicans member Jacob Ellenhorn told The College Fix. He noted that the banners went through the proper channels to obtain approval. -snip Monique Allard, USC’s assistant provost for student engagement, responded to...

Among the many questions I’ve received in response to my article on the Wisconsin “John Doe” raids is, “What should happen when executing a search warrant on a home?” If the police are asked to search a home, and there’s no indication of a physical threat, how should they conduct themselves? While the Left has been mostly silent in response to the story, some lefty commenters have responded by asserting that’s simply how searches are conducted. In other words, if the police search a home, that’s how they do it. I reached out to Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke,...
