Tony Trenkle, the Obamacare official in charge of HealthCare.gov security efforts announced his resignation Wednesday, effective next week. CBS News has learned that Trenkle, the Chief Information Officer for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), was originally supposed to sign off on security for the glitch-ridden website before its Oct. 1 launch, but didn't. Instead, the authorization on September 27 was given by Trenkle's boss, CMS administrator Marilyn Tavenner.

A man in New Mexico was pulled over by police for a minor traffic violation. When officers said a K-9 unit sniffed drugs on the driver’s seat, the officers forced the man to undergo invasive medical procedures, including an anal exam. It may sound nearly identical to David Eckert’s nightmarish story as reported by TheBlaze Tuesday, but this is an entirely different incident. HAMPDEN TOWNSHIP — According to a tentative budget passed recently by the board of commissioners, Hampden Township is holding fast to its record of approximately 35 years now without a tax increase. Township Manager Keith Metts said he doesn’t believe any changes will be made to the budget before the final version will be adopted by the commissioners at the Nov. 26 meeting. If that is the case, the millage rate will remain at 0.156, or $15.60 for a property valued at $100,000.

Giving lip service to security, along side Medicaid registration HHS flawlessly implemented a voting registration system for each new subscriber, just in time for the 2014 election. Of course the system does not register people who pay full price for healthcare, only those getting Medicaid or a subsidy....

Eleven of the state’s 64 counties placed a measure on their Election Day ballots for voters to decide whether to pursue secession. In six counties, the measure passed by mostly wide margins, the The Denver Post reported. The push is unlikely to succeed. Immigrants from outside Europe have taken £100billion more in benefits and services than they paid back in taxes, a major study revealed yesterday. Over a 16-year period, the bill to the taxpayer of providing them with welfare, health and education was 14 per cent higher than the money they put in the national purse.
