Just released statement from John Cornyn, head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee: "Let there be no mistake: The National Republican Senatorial Committee - and I personally as the committee's chairman - strongly stand by all of our Republican nominees, including Christine O'Donnell in Delaware. "I reached out to Christine this morning, and as I have conveyed to all of our nominees, I offered her my personal congratulations and let her know that she has our support. This support includes a check for $42,000 - the maximum allowable donation that we have provided to all of our nominees - which...

With on-the-ground reports from CA, CT, FL, IL, MO, NV, PA, and VA. CALIFORNIA Key Races: Governor, U.S. SenateTim Daniel reporting:While controversy in the Delaware primary is garnering a majority of headlines, plenty of interesting news stories hit the wires this week in California. First off, the nation’s best-funded business advocacy group, the United States Chamber of Commerce, came out swinging in an ad campaign focused on Barbara Boxer. Many political observers today question “what Congress is smoking these days.†Perhaps we know now, as a Boxer senior aid was busted with pot in a Senate office building. There’s precedent too...

In a clear sign of the grassroots pressure on Republican leaders, National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn just put out a statement embracing Christine O'Donnell -- a dramatic contrast with his group's curt response last night -- and writing her a big check. It's a remarkable reversal, and a vivid illustration that the base is in charge and has the leadership running scared.

Word on Capitol Hill is that Sen. John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee with a well-worn passport to the world's hot spots, is in the mix to replace Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who's been hinting of an exit before the end of President Obama's first term. Kerry, as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has acted as an emissary for Obama.

Rove is back on FOX trashing O'Donnell. Even worse than last night.

Michelle Malkin has a very solid reaction to Karl Rove's disgraceful behavior on Fox News tonight. That is not why Fox should suspend him and investigate. According to this report, Rove was working behind the scenes on behalf of the Castle campaign to negotiate a deal that would have led to some Delaware Tea Party groups not supporting Christine O'Donnell, while giving Mike Castle a pass. Especially given his comments on Fox News tonight, until this is resolved, it seems impossible to trust Rove as an objective analyst. In terms of the conservative movement, we should not simply ignore him, but proactively work to undermine...

Just as the MPAA is preparing to offer movies to customers at home while they're still in theaters by limiting playback to DRM-protected digital outputs only, the HDCP protocol they rely on may have been cracked wide open. All devices that support HDCP, like Blu-ray players, set-top boxes and displays with HDMI inputs, have their own set of keys to encrypt and decrypt protected data and if keys for a particular device are compromised, they can be revoked by content released in the future which will then refuse to play. Now, posts have been floating around on Twitter about a...

Chicago is dying and its illness will spread to every corner of America unless something is done to address and reverse its problems. Richard Daley’s administration has done a skillful job of hiding it, but America’s second city, Chicago a town totally ruled by Democrats for eighty years is nearly dead. The city has chased out numerous wealthy and successful corporations, the kind that feed the life blood of any municipality trying to play in the big leagues. Chicago’s insane liberal politics have driven away: Amoco, Waste Management, Quaker Oats, and even First Chicago among many other top tier corporations....

New polling in Ohio has moved that state's U.S. Senate race from Toss-Up to Leans Republican. Other recent changes came from polling in Alaska, Kentucky, North Carolina and West Virginia, Washington. Current projections suggest that the Democrats would hold 47 seats after Election Day while the Republicans would hold 46. Seven states are in the Toss-Up category (California, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, Wisconsin, Washington and West Virginia. All seven Toss-Ups are seats currently held by Democrats Republicans have the edge in five Democratic-held Senate seats--Arkansas, Indiana, North Dakota, Delaware and Pennsylvania. At the moment, no Republican-held seats appear headed for the...

For those who've struggled to find out what makes Obama tick, the mystery is over. It's simple. His beliefs and values fully embody the same philosophy, to which the vast majority of American university faculty members are fully invested. He promotes, with near perfect predictability, their left wing, collectivist, counter-American viewpoint. There are a thousands and thousands of academics out there gripping a similar playbook. Those observers who missed this point early on either went to college long ago or dutifully studied a narrow curriculum and failed to scrutinize the cultural inclinations and revolutionary intentions of their Oz-like, academic surroundings....

Okay, for the first time in a long time I'm excited about our future, even donated to O'Donnell's campaign as I know many of you have. See http://www.christine2010.com/She is now at 93% of her stated 200k goal, and just hours ago it was 60%, the money is pouring in from American's all over the country. The GOP fat cats are no doubt curled up in the fetal position refreshing that page above and thinking, uh oh ... My prediction is you will see them recant on everything they said as she is showing she has what it takes, and the...

Clinton: In new GOP, Bush a liberal By: Andy Barr September 15, 2010 10:47 AM EDT Bill Clinton contends that the Republican Party has shifted so far to the right this election cycle that George W. Bush would be considered a liberal by 2010's standard. “A lot of their candidates today, they make him look like a liberal,” the former president said of his conservative successor during a Democratic fundraiser in Minnesota, the Associated Press reported. Clinton was in Minnesota campaigning for gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton, who is vying to replace Tim Pawlenty, a possible 2012 Republican presidential contender. He...

Comes a HorsemanFrom the Sep. 20, 2010, issue of NR. Franklin Roosevelt’s clash with the Supreme Court is one of history’s greatest legal dramas, but it has generated an unfair and misleading mythology. In this legend, the Court greeted the New Deal with a blast of reactionary decisions in 1935 and 1936 — invalidating, among other things, the National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA) and the Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA) — to which Roosevelt retaliated by threatening to pack the Court with a new, more loyal majority of justices. The judiciary avoided the embarrassment of an expanded, politically neutered Court when...

Christine O'Donnell CAN Win Delaware Senate Seat, 2008 Campaign Manager Explains Contact: Jonathon Moseley, 703-656-1230 MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 15 /Christian Newswire/ -- Can Christine O'Donnell win the US Senate? As Christine's campaign manager for her 2008 primary, we planned how to win Delaware against formidable Joe Biden. Those detailed plans are still valid now against an unknown Democrat County Executive. Pundits drone that Delaware is "blue" (Democrat). Go drive around. Two of three counties have a down-home, conservative culture like Virginia. Even in Wilmington, these are largely Reagan Democrats. This is not Madison, Wisconsin. The industrial legacy of Wilmington has...

The key national organization in the country devoted to electing Republicans to the Senate might not be standing foursquare behind GOP Delaware Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell. But that doesn't mean conservative Republicans are counting her out. "I categorically reject that Christine O'Donnell cannot win in Delaware," said Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), the third-highest ranking Republican in the House. "This is a whole new world. We elected a Republican in Massachusetts."
