Chicago is dying because Democrats have had total control for eighty years

Chicago is dying and its illness will spread to every corner of America unless something is done to address and reverse its problems.

Richard Daley’s administration has done a skillful job of hiding it, but America’s second city, Chicago a town totally ruled by Democrats for eighty years is nearly dead.

The city has chased out numerous wealthy and successful corporations, the kind that feed the life blood of any municipality trying to play in the big leagues. Chicago’s insane liberal politics have driven away: Amoco, Waste Management, Quaker Oats, and even First Chicago among many other top tier corporations.

Starting last year city workers including cops and firemen were suffering unpaid involuntary furloughs of first fifteen days then twenty four days this year. Emblematic of the City’s “lifeboat ethic” is the penny wise and pound foolish sale of its parking meter system. The short term “gain” was a drop in Chicago’s budget shortfall but that revenue has been taken away forever as a source of income.

The head Rat jumps ship because the problems are many

Chicago’s Mayor For Life Richard Daley has announced he would not be running for reelection next February. He didn’t elaborate beyond saying it was time to go, but who would know better how sick his city is than Richard Daley?

The institutionalized problems that now preclude a reversal of Chicago’s fortunes are many and serious….

The end of Detroit really doesn't mean much, but if Chicago goes room temperature it will pull down a huge section of the midwest.

Plenty of Gay Bars in Chicago, and in the end, isn’t that ALL that’s really important to most Democrat Media-types anymore?

That, and the fact that there is a vast tribal wasteland on the southside.

Just look what happened to Detroit after 50 years of “progressive” government.

Michael Barone had a column about the Daleys in the weekend edition of The Wall Street Journal (Sept. 11/12), which favorably contrasted Chicago with his own hometown of Detroit, and thought that the Daleys deserved some of the credit.

Chicago LET them have control. Sorry, but just like the leftists, Dems can screw up anything - their ideology is illogical.

Sounds like Chicago could use a high speed rail line to Madison, WI to get its economy booming again.

As long as the big cities of America are inhabited by the low lifes, scum, thieves, crooks, homos, illegals, hands stuck out crowd, gimmie mine free bunch, then these cities will continue to vote for socialism and dimocrats because that is the only way they can stay out of jail and get free stuff. Turning these cities around means bulldozing these cities clean of the scum. Until American repents and makes a real change in its lifestyles, faith, and way of life, American is doomed. It will simply continue to slide into a third world nation. We ain't that far from it now.

Thieving democrats and unions also drove out Brachs, Frango Mints, Sears, and numerous trade shows and vendors. Let’s not forget bulldozing Meigs Field because his precious wife wanted a park. Meigs Field was fine while they lived in Bridgeport but as soon as Miss Maggie moved to the lakefront, she needed a quiet park. And Daley broke the law to accommodate and used the September 11 terrorist attack for cover. Damn you democrats. Damn you to hell!

Father/son tag teams Detroit for 77 consecutive years

Speaking of Detroit and rot, John Dingell has held the 15th Congressional District since 1955 and his father before him held it from 1933 to 1955.

77 years of Dingell

Way to go, Dingells. As you look over Detroit, you should be proud...yeah, I bet...

Chicago's Finest. How much you wanna bet there isn't a single legitimate son in the crowd?

Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

LOL! I was thinking to Frankfort, Kentucky, but since our Illustrious President has informed us that IL doesn’t border KY, well, we’d have to get a state like Arkansas (which our Illustrious President says borders KY) to agree to passage!

In any event, I think you’re 100% correct. If we just add a huge amount of High Speed Rail everywhere, we wouldn’t have any economic problems (because we won’t have an economy)!

The Chicago Democratic Machine was designed in the 1870s by Michael C. McDonald, the Gambler King of Clark Street. He was a conman, thug, thief, pimp, hotel/casino operator, etc.

He set the mold, but the people wanted him. The people are the problem. The Chicago Machine lives on because people are willing to trade their vote for a garbage can they paid for anyway.

They prefer slavery to liberty.
