On Tuesday, December 7th, Rush Limbaugh declined to devote time to the subject of Alan Keyes and his remarkable performance in the recent debates; Rush said that he was going to give the subject significant time during the next show. In what some might see as a predictable oversight, today Rush "forgot" to discuss the most interesting news in national politics, and instead talked about the Clintons, his friendship with the Bush family, etc. (Same, tired tales.) For years Rush has stated that his goal is to give attention and "air time" to issues and news which the mainstream media ...

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Treasury Department shredded potential evidence in a multibillion-dollar lawsuit over American Indian trust funds, then covered it up for more than three months, a court-appointed investigator concluded. Government lawyers in the case misled the federal judge overseeing the case, investigator Alan Balaran said in a report released Monday. In a strongly worded opinion released with the report, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth also accused government lawyers of making false statements to him. ``This is a system clearly out of control,'' Balaran wrote. He said the shredding and cover-up were ``part of a greater pattern of obfuscation'' ...

Math class minus rote equals fun, some figure 12/08/99By Ana M. AlayaSTAFF WRITER At Roberto Clemente Scholl in Newark, second-graders such as Shanna Thomas work with blocks to help learn math. Photo: John O'Boyle/Star-Ledger In the math world, there are always ripples of dissent over teaching the old discipline -- traditional versus new method. On occasion the debate flares intensely, as it has in the past few weeks. Fired by the U.S. Department of Education's recent endorsement of 10 new math programs, and a letter signed by 200 noted mathematician and scientists denouncing those programs, the quarrel concerns the best ...

State may pass deficit to cities, Rochelle warns 12/7/99 By Bartholomew Sullivan The Commercial Appeal NASHVILLE - It didn't take long after the failure of a state income tax for the prospect of higher local property taxes to raise its head in Tennessee's tax reform debate. The sponsor of the failed income tax bill in the recently concluded special legislative session, Sen. Robert Rochelle, told a state and local government think tank Monday that he may want it to examine the impact of the state's cutting the amount of state tax revenue that it sends to local governments. The so-called ...

I’m finishing this column on Monday afternoon, hours before the Arizona GOP "debate," but unless Gov. George Bush calls one of his competitors a bunghole onstage, or can’t remember the capital of Texas, it’s clear that he’ll be the Republican nominee and most likely the next president of the United States. The media is putting up a sickening fight for John McCain–he’s on the cover of Time this week–but slowly, perhaps unconsciously, journalists are starting to realize that the Texan is the man who’ll replace Bill Clinton. It’s not that Bush blew away the field in last Thursday’s New Hampshire ...

The following copies are ones that came through a large group of professional "dog" people of which I am one! The second is my rapidly written reply. It was done in about five minutes and (perhaps because of some inspiration from outside myself,) was greeted by people that were total strangers, I was given the opportunity to bring "the state of our" to the front on a very varied "front." This "topic" [Touched by and Angel] may be a very viable way for e-mail lists to be used by many of us, in a manner that is not "spam", but does ...

Poll: Bradley Leads Gore Among New Hampshire Voters By Alan Elsner, Political Correspondent BOSTON (Reuters) - Former Sen. Bill Bradley holds a six percentage point lead over Vice President Al Gore among likely voters in the New Hampshire Democratic primary next February, according to a Reuters/WHDH poll released on Wednesday. But Gore has narrowed the gap slightly in the past two months and appears to have halted his slide in the state which will hold the first primary of the 2000 campaign on Feb. 1. Time to Explore the Bradley Myth By John Elvin Bill Bradley has been presented by the establishment media as a maverick centrist, but his record shows him to be a predictable liberal in the style of Walter Mondale. Although Bill Bradley abandoned his Missouri roots to take up with the liberal establishment at Princeton and Oxford, he surely must have studied the political wisdom of home-stater Harry S Truman, for whom such elitism was anathema. A lesson taught by Truman involved a fraternity man who asked the former president how one could get a start in politics. Truman advised ...

First Rosie appeals to the welfare moms and soccer moms and spreads the Rudy lie. The plan is to now have all the leftist sympatizers like Cuomo get on all the shows and continue the lie. The hypocrisy drips from the liberals. Thier friggin campaign is based on lies, scares, and tricking the sheeple. They're shameless. Will ANY news person ask them why they are perpetuating a LIE???
