Fifty-six percent of Americans say President Joe Biden’s 40-year-high inflation has caused them hardship, up from 49 percent in January and 45 percent in November, a Gallup poll found this week. The poll sampled 1,500 respondents from August 1-22 with a three point margin of error.

Americans' confidence in newspapers and television news has fallen to all-time low points, according to the latest Gallup survey of institutions. Americans have the least confidence in Congress of all institutions named in the survey, but the news media institution comes in second from the bottom....Just 16% of U.S. adults now say they have "a great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in newspapers and 11% in television news. Both are down 5 percentage points since last year, Gallup reports....Gallup has tracked Americans' confidence in newspapers since 1973 and television news since 1993 as part of its annual polling...

President Joe Biden has pushed the presidency to a place it hasn't been in nearly 50 years. In the latest Gallup poll, less than a quarter of those surveyed have “confidence” in the presidency, worse than during the Trump presidency and nearly as bad as the end of the George W. Bush presidency. Going back to 1975, Gallup has never recorded a confidence reading as low as Biden’s 23%. “The largest declines in confidence are 11 percentage points for the Supreme Court — as reported in late June before the court issued controversial rulings on gun laws and abortion —...

In its latest Values and Beliefs survey, Gallup found that belief in God in the U.S. has fallen to 81%, a new low, and that liberals, young people, and Democrats are the "least likely to believe in God." According to Gallup, in 2013-17, 87% of American adults said they believed in God. In 2022, however, that percentage had fallen to 81%, a decline of six percentage points. Among 18-29 year olds, belief in God fell 10 points, from 78% to 68%. For unmarried Americans, belief fell 8 percentage points (85% to 77%). For Democrats, belief in God fell from 84%...

Belief in God among U.S. adults sank to an all-time low this year, according to recent data from a Gallup survey. According to the survey, most U.S. adults — 81 percent — believe in God. But while that figure seems high, it is actually the lowest percentage ever reported in this survey. Up until 2011, over 90 percent said they believed in God, but the number has continued to drop, now down eight points from the 89 percent who expressed belief in God in 2016. The previous low was set in 2014, when 86 percent said they believed in God.

A new Gallup poll shows the cratering view the American people have taken of the U.S. economy under President Joe Biden. The Big Three evening news networks buried it for nearly a week. The results of the Gallup survey — released Feb. 2 — of 811 U.S. adults found that a mere 33 percent are satisfied with the state of the U.S. economy. That’s a 10 percentage-point free fall from the same survey conducted in 2021 when 43 percent of Americans were satisfied. The new statistic is also a 35-point drop from the 68 percent of Americans in 2020 who...

Frequent consumers of news may be aware of Gallup's annual poll measuring the "most admired man" in America which is typically announced a few days before New Year's. The poll was done yearly from 1946 through 2020, with 1976 the only year that was skipped. NewsBusters pointed out a year ago that liberal news media lost interest in the annual poll after Donald Trump started edging out Barack Obama for first place, whereas the networks previously enjoyed using the survey to embarrassing Trump as sitting President failing to come in first place. This year, a Google search conspicuously shows no...

Joe Biden's policies since he took office have allowed inflation to surge in the United States, with gasoline prices up by more than a dollar a gallon across wide regions, food more costly and even consumer items demanding higher prices because of those increases in transportation costs. Now a new poll from Gallup confirms what consumers already know all too well: it's causing hardship for them. The poll revealed that Biden's inflation is causing "hardship" for nearly half of the nation's population – 45% to be exact. And it hits hardest at those who can least afford it, the poll...

President Biden approval rating is leveling off at 42 percent, according to Gallup poll released Friday. The survey, conducted Oct. 1-19, found that 52 percent disapprove of the job Biden is doing as president, while a separate six percent had no opinion. The poll found Biden’s approval rating essentially holding steady after sliding to 43 percent in September, which was the first time Gallup recorded a majority disapproved of Biden’s job performance. At that time, Biden was facing bipartisan criticism for his handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

How low can Joe go? A new Gallup survey shows that President Joe Biden has not hit bottom yet in his polling freefall. The survey service said the president has plummeted 13 points since June, now sitting at a dismal 43% approval rating, the lowest of his presidency. Worse, said Gallup, “For the first time, a majority, 53%, now disapproves of Biden's performance.” The survey was taken after the failed Afghanistan withdrawal that left many Americans behind, an event condemned by the nation in multiple other surveys. “The latest drop in Biden's job approval score is the second significant decline...

A significant shift occurred in 2013, which The Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra noted is when the Black Lives Matter movement began.

In a March 24 blog, Gallup CEO and Chairman Jim Clifton reported that 42 million adults in Latin America and the Caribbean said they would like to immigrate to the United States. "There are 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Roughly 450 million adults live in the region. Gallup asked them if they would like to move to another country permanently if they could," wrote Clifton. Twenty-seven percent of those adults said "yes." That equals roughly 120 million who want to migrate somewhere. From that group, Gallup asked them "where they would like to move." "Of those who...

...On the other hand Democrats were more likely to know that COVID causes many more deaths than car accidents or the flu in a given year. They also were more accurate on whether or not the virus could by spread by those with no symptoms. But Democrats got it wrong again when it came to rates of hospitalization. The actual rate is 1-5% but 41% of Democrats put the hospitalization rate at 50+ percent, which is way off. Meanwhile, Republicans were 2 1/2 times as likely to give the correct answer. The survey added an extra wrinkle to this question....
