The Free Republic 3rd quarter FReepathon is underway!

Howdy everyone. Time to get rolling again on raising the funds necessary to keep FR on the air. We've accomplished quite a bit in the last few years on FR, but there is much more work to be done. FReeper activism was an important factor in Clinton's impeachment effort as well as helping to block Al Gore's attempted theft of the White House. And more recently, FReepers organized and supported hundreds of rallies in cities all across the nation countering the peaceniks and rallying public support for our President and our troops. I thank God that George W. Bush was our President on 9/11 instead of Al Gore! And I thank God for the tens of thousands of patriotic FReepers who worked so hard to help make that happen!

The next 18 months or so are going to be supercritical in our continued fight against liberalism. The liberals will be attempting to retake control of our government and they will no doubt pull out all stops in regards to corruption in fundraising, campaigning and electioneering. And we still have the Clintons and their followers waiting in the wings. Even though President Bush enjoys high popularity ratings, anything can happen.

We must double and redouble our efforts to block the liberals and win a landslide election for Bush and the Republicans. If we give Bush and the Republicans a conservative mandate and a filibuster proof Senate then we will have an historic opportunity of appointing and approving a conservative court and a possibility of overturning decades of liberal activist rulings!

It's time to get this show on the road! I'm urging a nationwide FReeper drive to register voters and get out the conservative vote. This is not an election where we can afford to stay home or sit on our hands or register protest votes. Every conservative vote is critical!

And, as always, we must remain diligent. FReepers gathering and disseminating relevant news items, exposing and refuting liberal lies, propaganda and corruption coupled with our nationwide rallies and protests and activism are making a difference.

Looking forward to an exciting election cycle and many years of conservative successes to follow.

Thanks very much for your continuing participation and support!

FReegards,

Jim Robinson

I NEEEEEEED MORE!!!!!!!!

Here's praying you get them!!!

(I keep telling my daughter that I need more, too. She then tells me I should have thought of that when I only had one child. Then I get all pouty and tell her that life sometimes has other plans for us than our white picket fence dreams and other guilt-inducing things about how she's so fortunate to be fertile.) ;)

"We shop yard sales! We are just plain stupid grandparents!"

You kiddin'?!?! We spent all last Saturday shopping yard sales. Got some cool toys, a Grandson #1-sized rocking chair, and some summer chothes for both grandsons....but there was so much BETTER stuff for older boys. There WAS a little basketball hoop and ball that looked just the thing for the eldest grandson, but after playing with it and not finding it fun, we didn't buy it.

I've always loved yard sales and flea markets though...so much I used to have a permanent stall at a flea market :- )

You too, huh?

:-)

That's ok....most parent's LOVE the attention. I'm more cautious around older toddlers who NEED to know to not be too friendly with strangers.

The Free Republic Virus: Also best viewed in person at www.freerepublic.com, the infected spend scores of hours a week in front of computer screens, often laughing with abandon when not typing maniacally.

From this thread, in case you haven't seen it.

"CONGRATULATIONS! Little boys are the bestest and no, I'm not biased in the least! :-)"

LOL...though one of them can go ahead and have a girl next now. I wouldn't have minded HALF so much as my daughter and son-in-law if this one was...but then, I already have two grandsons to play with. It seems most people want their first to be a boy...I know I did. They're overjoyed. My son-in-law seemed unable to figure out whom to hug, her or me...he wisely chose her. He's planning to take the ultrasound pics to work so he can show them around.

I can offer a piece of advice re: those nerf basketball stands that can be used inside or outside IF.....multiple children are going to be playing with it at the same time.

The type we had was a hard cardboard shaft (up to where the hoop hangs)......and it had 2 pieces to it....so you could raise or lower the hoop height.

Well.....2 of my little darlings discovered it came apart...and the next thing I knew they were having Star Wars light saber sword fights with the 2 pieces.

Needless to say....the pieces were dented beyond repair!

So......shop wisely, grasshopper.

I bought my little ones one of these...

... and my little boy won a cupie dawg (about his size) at the amusement park Saturday. LOL.

it spends summer outside, and goes in the wreck room when cold comes around.

Yah, you fill the bottom with like 50 pounds of sand... it won't fall on them, but is kind of a bear to move up the steps to the house. it does have wheels, and moves like a handcart, though.
