Ancient Pyramids Discovered in Italy
02-May-2003
On the Farshores website, Marco V. of Varese, Italy writes, "You may be interested in a discovery which has been recently made: three pyramids were discovered thanks to satellite and aerial imagery in northern Italy, in the town of Montevecchia
They are the first pyramids ever discovered in Italy and the dimensions are quite impressive; the highest pyramid is [500 feet] tall. They are stone buildings, as recent excavations have proved. However, they are now completely covered by ground and vegetation, so that they now look like hills.
"The inclination degree of all the three pyramids is 42/43° and there is a perfect alignment with the Orion constellation (there are a lot of similarities to the Egyptian pyramids).
Their age is still undefined although they are surely older than 3,000 years.
Nothing was found nearby which may help to date the structures and in the area there was not any civilization able to build similar structures at the time (the people who lived there were mainly gatherers and hunters)."

Why? Mexico had/has them.
Yeah, but it wasn't Whitley who told me about them.

at the bottom of the posting is a link to the italian web page and the pictures, please check the pictures, oh and the news section at Whitley page is backed up by at least one other source. i`m not trying to fool nobody,is an honest posting.
I saw the pictures, they are quite interesting. But will have to see a description of their signifigance from a scientific source rather than Streiber's characterization.

egypt got some knowledge from different cultures, including sumeria/babylon/now iraq, but nobody knows where the knowledge of the piramids come from, but were built in mexico, central america, southamerica, egypt, even the us,some civilisation in the past have commerce on diferent parts of the world, and some researches point to atlantis.

i heard the romans removes the limestone or other material from the piramids and taken to rome, not the big stones, but something like tiles on the outside Virtually all of the stone in Roman construction -- both structural and cladding over brick or rubble core -- is travertine, quarried in the suburban village of Tibur (modern-day Tivoli).

Here is a quote from the paranormal research center:
"Many in the UFO community consider him a certifiable nut-case and a fraud. He says the same about UFOlogists. If the guy really is crazy -- his books about aliens just keep getting weirder and weirder.
The UFOlogists think he is a nutcase and too extreme. He thinks the UFOlogists are nutcases. Who is right? Both?
In any event, I am not likely to consider him a source for archaelogical findings, just as I would not rely on Art Bell for a paper on astrophysics, or John Edwards as an authority on quantum mechanics.
Do a Google search on Whitley Streiber and skeptic. They do a pretty good job.
I am not an official skeptic. I just don't know. I have no idea what UFO's really are. But I do know that Whitley Streiber is not an archaeological scholar of wide renown.

The Bible tells us that the Babylonians built a pyramind type stucture...God confused the language and people dispersed across the earth. Could be the dispersed people used the pyramid architecture as a base in designing their own.

When I see it somewhere other than Whitley Streiber I'll pay more attention. Inclined to agree with you.

sure everything is possible, scientists keep finding new things all the time,
this italian piramids are aligned with orion, just like egypt
To: Warhead W-88
i saved the link, thank you.,and with pictures great.

The Egyptians and Greeks were well versed in astronomy, which would determine orientation of pyramids and star placement.
To: homeschool mama
the key word is "orion",egypt and other cultures all point the finger to orion. just because it was on the sky or there is a second reason?
To: Arkinsaw
Whitley Streiber is just posting some news from different parts of the world, and not taking credit,he always put the link to at least one or two sources.
a lot of people visit his website.
