HELP KEEP THE LIGHTS ON: First Quarter '03 FReepathon Now Underway .. Thread 6
.... ...
The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!
Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.
The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.
Thank you all very much for your continued support.
P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.
Donate to FR and help us keep the lights on for the best political forum on the NET!

A cellar to me means spiders and a tornado is coming. Raised in Nebraska. I hate cellars.

Update on Mexico Quake
At Least 19 Dead in Mexico Earthquake
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - At least 19 people were killed as houses collapsed in a powerful earthquake (news - web sites) that rocked central Mexico, the governor of the Pacific state of Colima told Televisa television news on Tuesday night.
"There is extensive damage to homes, mostly in the (state) capital, there are many houses damaged," Gov. Fernando Moreno said by telephone.
He listed numbers of dead in different cities and towns in the small, agricultural state about 310 miles west of Mexico City. The total added up to 19.
The earthquake was at least 7.6 in magnitude, big enough to cause substantial damage.

I am trying to do this on a monthly basis but am behind because of possible car repairs. As soon as I see what the problems is and the cost, I will send a donation by mail. Brad

This is a 1962 photo showing President John F. Kennedy making an address to the nation concerning the economy. In 15 hours of previously classified Kennedy White House tapes, released Tuesday, Jan 21, 2003 by the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in Boston, the subjects of Vietnam, a weakened economy and European relations are heard discussed. (AP Photo/Courtesy of John F. Kennedy Library and Museum, Ho) |

I wish I had one to send my kid to!!!
Right now the "family" room is the living room.
Santa brought the little
%$@%#$% angel her own TV/VCR for her room so that mommy and daddy could have back control of the the living room - NOT

We had a root cellar that was cold and damp and dirt walls and it was full of spiders. Shudder. We had a basement also under the house, but it wasn't much better.
