2,000-year-old 6ft 6ins warrior giant discovered
The remains of an enormous warrior who fought more than 2,000 years ago have been found in Kazakhstan.
The soldier was heavily armed and stood around 6ft 6ins tall.
Archaeologists believe he was well-built and revered by people who buried him with his weapons.
The BBC says the warrior lived around the first century BC.
Historians say this may lead them to re-examine the origins of the region's people.

This is from a post last May,"That year, Mair had led a group of American travellers through a small museum in Ürümchi, the capital of China's remote northwesternmost province, Xinjiang. Mair had visited the museum several times before, but on this occasion a new sign pointed to a back room. "It said something like 'Mummy Exhibition,' " recalled Mair, "and I had the strangest kind of weird feeling because it was very dark. There were curtains, I think. Going in, you felt like you were entering another world."
In a glass display case so poorly lit that visitors needed to use flashlights to look at its contents, Mair spied a bizarre sight. It was the outstretched body of a man just under six feet tall, dressed in an elegantly tailored wool tunic and matching pants, the colour of red wine. Covering the man's legs were striped leggings in riotous shades of yellow, red, and blue, attire so outrageous it could have come straight from the pages of Dr. Seuss. But it was not so much the man's clothing that first riveted Mair's attention. It was the face. It was narrow and pale ivory in colour, with high cheekbones, full lips, and a long nose. Locks of ginger-coloured hair and a greying beard framed the parchment-like skin. He looked very Caucasian: indeed he resembled someone Mair knew intimately. "He looked like my brother Dave sleeping there, and that's what really got me. " How far away this is from the other guy I don't know. Other accounts I've read said the man mummy was 6'-6" and mummy mummy beside him was 6'.

There are tales of them throughout folklore, so I am certain they have existed.
Giants were quickly eaten by a cabal of unicorns, harpies, basilisks, griffins, sphinxes, birdmen, and other all-too-real monstrosities. I have personally authenticated every single observation made by Sir John Mandeville and Isidros of Seville, and I know that all these creatures once existed, and continue to exist, in the far reaches of the Canadian Arctic and the Hart Senate Office Building. Also, you should be wary of sailing over the horizon, lest terrible sea monsters get you.

How did you ever get a child from THERE? Many of these tribes had a taboo against eating fish, so the cod-liver oil would have had an almost magical effect...
I am assuming your statement means BTW, that the boy is of the Caucasoid rather than Mongoloid tribes of the region...

I love your posts but they are in the wrong section on FreeRepublic.
PS: Know anything about these historical anomalies?
The existence of pyramids in Greece was unknown to most people until recently, and even today not much is known about them. For example, the pyramid of Hellenikon, near Argos, is older than the Pyramids of Egypt. In fact, Pausanias (in Graeciae Descriptio) says that this pyramid was a memorial in rememberance of the first battle fought by soldiers bearing shields!
THE PYRAMID OF HELLENICON (Location: Hellenikon Village, Argolis.)
This Pyramid is found in northwestern Peloponnese, near the village of Ligourion, on the foot of mount Arachnaeum, not far from the site of ancient Epidaurus.
The pyramid is located in the south of the Chania area, in the island of Crete, at an altitute of 290 m above sea level.

"My daughter (8) just loves Conan! I be sure to get this picture to her. Thanks!!!" I've read some reports that Conan was a Fomorian and was likely a black person. (do a search on Fomorians)

This guy would've been huge for that time. I think the average height for a male of that time was like 5'3"-5'5" something like that.
Perhaps, but let's not forget that the minimum height for a Roman soldier at that time was about 5'10"... This guy wouldn't have been that much bigger than your average Roman legionnaire.

Perhaps, but let's not forget that the minimum height for a Roman soldier at that time was about 5'10"... IIRC, 5'10" was the minimum height for Roman cavalrymen, who were considered elite troops, but the minimum for your standard-issue legionnaire was around 5'5". Since we're suddenly so picky about it ;)

Dr. Friedrich von Frankenstein: Exactly.
Inga: He vould have an enormous Schwannstucker!
Dr. Friedrich von Frankenstein: That goes without saying.
Inga: Voof!
Igor: He's going to be very popular.

To demonstrate her indisputable descent from the warrior giant, she would increase her height with the Flying Crane style.
