Dear voter,

Members of Congress are pushing for tough inquiries into the government's actions prior to Sept. 11, now that it has been revealed that President Bush had been warned of a possible plot to hijack U.S. planes. Several lawmakers say that this information was one of several red flags that should have sent alarm bells ringing, but the White House says that they had no way of knowing that terrorists were planning to use the planes themselves as weapons.

Log on to http://www.vote.com to tell Congress and the president whether YOU think federal officials responded properly. When you vote on this issue at Vote.com, your opinion will be automatically sent to the White House and to Capitol Hill!

Please make your vote count, and forward this message to friends and family so they can make their voices heard too!

Gotta freep this poll urgently. It was started by Klintonite suckup Dick Morris and everyone in Congress gets a copy (both e-mail and hard copy) of the results.

Let's see if we can put a damper on the Democraps attempts to put the blame on our side when it clearly belongs to the eight years of the Klinonites trasshing and destroying our defense and intelligence establishment.

This is all Monday morning quarterbacking. I am sure they get threats every day. The issue is how long we can cry wolf before we take things seriously.

Fact of the matter is that we practically have no Human Intelligence left and that is what we need in this war and we have the Democrats and liberals to thank for that.

I voted no. No one told me about the terrorist threat. I happened to fly a lot pre- 9/11. I am sick of our government getting free pass for everything. They should have done better.

Wow, all this time you never knew about the Embassy bombings, the bombing of the USS Cole, the first bombing of the World Trade Center, and you NEVER noticed increased security at the airports. AMAZING!!!!

Evidently you were too busy watching cartoons on TV to notice! You have my deepest sympathy.

Hillary should not wait until 2004 to start running. If she starts running tomorrow, she might lose some of that fat in a couple of years. Why put off for tomorrow what you can do today? Oh, and she'd better start writing on those memoirs she got millions advanced on back in 2000. How many years can she keep the money without producing a product (not industry standard but rather to avoid a conflict of interest as a congress woman)?

TERROR WARNING FOR N.Y. AND D.C.
Daily News (New York)
December 14, 1998, Monday

Terror kingpin Osama Bin Laden may be preparing to bomb New York or Washington to avenge the U.S. attack on his secret bases in Afghanistan, according to a new report.

"We've hit his headquarters, now he hits ours," a State Department official tells Time magazine in this week's issue. "The game is tilted in Osama's favor until he's gone." The CIA as far back as 1996 was planning to "snatch" Bin Laden and bring him to the U.S. for trial. But the Saudi millionaire foiled the plot by staying away from countries eyed by the CIA, Time reports.

Bin Laden has been linked to bombings in Somalia in October 1993 that killed 18 U.S. troops and at the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania on Aug. 7 that killed 223 people.

His family owners of Saudi Arabia's richest construction firm disowned him and the Saudis stripped him of his citizenship after he turned radical in 1990. Bin Laden fled to the Sudan, then to Afghanistan.

American missiles struck and destroyed two of his Afghan bases Aug. 21 in retaliation for the embassy attacks. He has been in hiding since.

Bin Laden was indicted in New York last month on charges of masterminding the embassy slaughter, prompting a worldwide search and a $ 5 million reward for his capture.

Time says Attorney General Janet Reno invited 200 Washington metro policemen to FBI headquarters in October to map a simulated response to a terrorist attack. Among the exercises were four scenarios: a car bombing, a chemical-weapons strike at a Redskins football game, an explosive device in a federal building and an assassination attempt on Secretary of State Albright.

But the war games quickly deteriorated into interagency squabbling, disturbing Reno greatly, the magazine said.

Apparently, a Bin Laden terrorist ring planned an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baku,Azerbaijan, but was successfully broken up three months ago, according to the magazine.

You voted "no" to the question: Did the government fail to act properly to the warnings? Is that what you intended to do?

It's likely Ross Perot did it. He still harbors a grudge the size of Texas against the Bush Clan. Although, no doubt Clinton may be involved (after all, Perot had a direct, clandestine deal with Clinton , and helped him defeat Bush Sr. in '92).

I think they should probe but the need to go all the way back to the USS Cole and the lambs Clinton and cronies sacrificed. All of these thinks happened because of the failure of our internal security and its dismantling under the Democrats:Clinton/Gore.Out FBI and INS is pitiful and I think the CIA stays busy chasing its own tail!

Those double negatives make it seem like a ballot initiative "Vote No if you like this" "Vote Yes if you don't".

Maybe if Klinton had spent less time in the oval office coat room receiving blowjobs and more time paying attention to the country's security, something would have been done to mitigate Sept 11th.

Heh, looks like the results of every single poll on vote.com are massively pro-Bush and/or pro-conservative.
