Dan Quayle thinks Donald Trump is a more qualified candidate than Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party should rally around him.
The former vice president, who served under George H.W. Bush, appeared on NBCs Today show Thursday and said that Trump was more qualified than Clinton in this particular election because people want an outsider.

Quayle was unfairly ridiculed by the Washington insiders and the media. The same people who are trying to destroy Trump brutally attacked Quayle.
P-O-T-A-T-O
Bravo, Mr. Quayle!
Sad what the left was able to get away with regarding Quayle. He should have taken himself off the ticket in 92’. Would not have made a difference but at some point you have to agnowlege reality.
Could he have been less forceful?
C’mon, Dan. You must agree with all of us about Hillary. Why hold back?
How quickly the elite forget. They held Quayle up to ridicule, took things out of context, made fun of his lovely and accomplished wife.
Dan Quayle as Secretary of State could be a real good idea. He knows the historical context of the mess US policy has made of the world.
“agnowlege reality.”
.... but don’t make fun of anyone’s spelling, huh?
FWIW, I thought Quayle was quite forceful by being unambiguous and articulate about supporting Trump. Quayle is a diplomat, but not a wimp. Hmmmmm.....he’s also a golfer. Are Quayle and Trump already well acquainted with each other?
I would love to see Trump restore Quayle to a proper position of power and influence that would be a continual “in your face” to the hypocritical and evil left.
TTTT!
“On paper, you’d say, well, she’s more qualified. But you know what? He’s more qualified in the sense that the American people, I think, want an outsider,” Quayle said. “And they want an outsider this time. She’s not an outsider, so if you’re looking for an outsider, no, she’s not qualified, and he is.”
Forceful would be to tell the truth in any choice of words he might want:
1. Clinton has deceived the American people about many things in her past, many, many times
2. Trump really does support America, and really does want to make America Great Again
Something like that would be forceful. Ok, you can come up with reasons why he can’t/won’t/shouldn’t, whatever.
But please, don’t read the words I just posted above from Quayle and call them forceful.
They are not forceful.
Sorry, I disagree. What Quayle said was unambiguous and logical. It TOTALLY took away hillary’s “experience” argument.
Ok. You could be right. I could be wrong.
Anyway, the election doesn’t hinge on what Quayle said or how he said it, or what you and I think about what Quayle said.
Trump is going to roll over Hillary like an NFL team going up against a Pop Warner squad.
Quayle DESTROYED algore in their debate...

Take that.
Oh, bye the way, potatoe is a valid spelling in classic literature.
Maybe Dan Quayle was familiar with older BOOKS - as in he is actually an educated person.

“Potatoe is an older but still correct spelling of the word more commonly word spelled potato. It turns out that Dan Quail and the young student were both correct in there spellings. The e at the end of potatoe was largely dropped by the end of the 20th century.”
Dan Quayle was the only good thing about that administration. You can tell that because of how mercilessly and constantly he was attacked by the DC insiders!
Ahh, I always liked Dan.
Please no 39 year old vp nominees. Cotton? It was hard enough to take that seat from the libs. Same with the overweight looker in Iowa.
Nearly fell out of my chair with that.
