Dan Quayle, who was stabbed in the back by Bill Kristol, comes out supporting Trump.

Quayle was unfairly ridiculed by the Washington insiders and the media. The same people who are trying to destroy Trump brutally attacked Quayle.

Could he have been less forceful?

C’mon, Dan. You must agree with all of us about Hillary. Why hold back?

I was and still am a proud potatoEhead. That nomination was rigged for GWB, with massive cash infusions and insider support. Dan Quayle is an absolute scholar and class act with foreign affairs. He NEVER embarrassed the US or demonstrated ignorance of the issues, either as a US Senator or as VP. This morning on Today, he was SO IMPRESSIVE that the hosts asked him to come back often.

How quickly the elite forget. They held Quayle up to ridicule, took things out of context, made fun of his lovely and accomplished wife.

Dan Quayle as Secretary of State could be a real good idea. He knows the historical context of the mess US policy has made of the world.

I would love to see Trump restore Quayle to a proper position of power and influence that would be a continual “in your face” to the hypocritical and evil left.

Dan Quayle was the only good thing about that administration. You can tell that because of how mercilessly and constantly he was attacked by the DC insiders!

After giving the human gaff machine Biden pass after pass, the media owes Quayle an apology.

in the capacity of my employment I have met Dan Quayle a number of times, from the height of the Tea Party days through more recently. I have never been shy, in the few minutes that we had together to just jump right in and ask him about political things. Dan Quayle is really a good man, he listens to you, he looks you straight in the eye, and he offers his opinions in a response in a very normal non arrogant friendly manor.I have gotten to tell him personally that I had voted for him in the past and I regretted that he was not able to run for president himself. We could have done far worse. The fact that he is now coming out in favor of Donald Trump Kama even though many of his former associates & peers at the highest levels of the Republican Party are violently against Trump , increases my respect for mr. Quayle greatly(again). To me this is a very significant endorsement. I consider Dan Quayle a great American.

I was taught “potatoes” when young. It is an alternate spelling now but I remember it as the main spelling.

the whole affair I thought was a gas job on Dan Quayle.

Quayle’s only failure was being a policy wonk who could not voice his policies well enough to silence the vitriolic critics who wanted to make fun of his hair. He needed charisma, which many political nerds lack.

To the enemedia-e and the DC, NYC, LA establishment-e, Dan Quayle was just another lowly hick from fly-over, mid-west Indiana. He would never be embraced by the sophisticated Beltway political barons and scribes.

I agree with you. I always thought he was ill used by GHW Bush. It was the first time I noticed that family’s callous disregard for their loyal subordinates. Quayle should have been supported and mentored. Instead, Mena partner Clinton came in.
