Donald Trump supporters are a generally happy bunch...
The Cruz campaign in Indiana is in a state of collapse and freefall. By the end of the weekend you can expect the narrative to shift, and the campaign will be pointing fingers toward California (June 7th) because their impending defeat is looming ever more dangerous.
Before getting to a recent poll, lets take a look at the current landscape. Senator Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina spoke at a campaign rally in South Bend Indiana. In a venue capable of holding more than 2,000 only a few hundred showed up...
Thats the second actual ground report in the past 48 hours highlighting exactly the same thing. The first report we shared yesterday...
My post election night math had 1,003 as solid but virtually identical. So you can see, the probability of Trump earning the remaining 235 (1237 1002 = 235), knowing 51 of those are easily won in New Jersey (winner take all June 7th) makes the outcome of Trump winning enough delegates to capture the nomination a very high probability.
That crossing of the inevitability factor threshold is what we have outlined as the most dangerous time. The angriest moment in the denial phase is right before the ideologically entrenched accept an inevitable outcome.

"You hear that Mr. Cruz? That is the sound of inevitability."
Cruz was my guy and has run a ghastly campaign. I don’t recognize him anymore. He’s that bad. He couldn’t get elected to clean the streets.
I remember supporting Jack Kemp against Bush 1 in 1988. He was supposedly heir to Reagan, he said. Never gained traction. Had to switch to Bush, unfortunately.
But Cruz just poured manure all over himself and never stopped. He’s become a parody, a joke, and an absurdity. So Trump is my guy.
Not so fast. A new poll shows Cruz winning big:
If other polls confirms Downs poll then ok but smething wrong here.
I’d say these couple of polls are more recent April 27-28 and shows Trump in the lead. Clout Research conducted a live agent telephone poll of likely voting Republican Primary Election voters statewide in Indiana regarding the presidential election. The survey was conducted April 27. It included 423 respondents and carries a confidence interval of 95% and a margin of error of +/- 4.75 percentage points - Trump 37.1 and Cruz 35.2. The second poll conducted April 27-April 28 by the American Research Group shows Trump 41% and Cruz 32%. A CBS poll earlier this week found Trump with about 40% of support in Indiana, compared to 35% for Cruz. The poll had a margin of error of 6.6 points. Other polls have also shown Trump ahead.
Bernie's rallies have been much larger and more enthusiastic than Hillaries, but she's still winning.
It's interesting that the 538.com "polls plus" model gives Cruz over a 70% chance of winning. I'm not sure what makes up the "plus" exactly, but I'm not sure I'd write Cruz off in Indiana just because of a 1/2 empty rally Friday.
The one that took them two weeks to poll 400 people? And started WAY before a lot of people realized Cruz had begun to slide into fantasyland?
It took them two weeks to find the right 400 people where 45% of them would prefer Ted Cruz. Maybe you guys can get a judge to keep the polls open for two weeks and have guards at the polls that only let Cruz supporters in to vote. MAYBE then, you guys might pull off a win.
Redstate jumped the shark for cruz months ago with that fat slop erikson...they are totally unreliable for anything.
Mike Downs Indiana Polling or something other? WTH? Really?
Bernie’s rallies have been much larger and more enthusiastic than Hillaries, but she’s still winning.

She is winning because the primaries are rigged. When Bernie was on a winning streak winning 9 states on a row, Hillary got the majority of the delegates.
Cruz will be his normal annoying (infrequent) winner self if that poll is reliable.
And the truth is that people like to be with the winner. It is hard to muster large support for the one you know will never win. Anyone on the fence or not previously paying attention will see Trump’s momentum and go with him

Lord of the rings!
Agreed.
It was sad to watch al the self inflicted damage. It started with taking the South for granted. Trump didn’t he campaigned hard in the South and it started his run in an amazing way
Jeb Bush Re-emerges to Talk Sad Trash About Trump
"Bush, who has endorsed Ted Cruz, said that he hoped it would not get that far, adding that he did not believe Trump could get 1,237 delegates to vote for him on the first ballot at the convention, and if he doesn't do that, there are a whole lot of people who dont believe hes the proper guy.
