Cruz's reception in New York was chilly.
Back in January, Ted Cruz made the mistake of assuming the rest of America still hates New York. His dismissal of "New York values" didn't endear him to the Empire State Governor Cuomo demanded an apology from Cruz, and the New York Daily News did what the New York Daily News does best and as expected, the comment came back to haunt him as he campaigned in the Bronx on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, at a massive rally in Long Island, Donald Trump, who's polling ahead of Cruz in New York by a wide margin, used the senator's remarks against him. "Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on New York values like we're no good?" Trump asked the crowd. "Folks, I think you can forget about him."

>>Trump actually has a shot at winning New York.<<
Good luck with that.
Kinda like you. Telling everone to go to Hell as I remember. Dumbass.
Please stick around til Lyin Ted gets crushed on the the 19th. Opus II should be epic.
Go TRUMP
..he can be anything he wants to be, right?
Got back to my link and watch/hear Donald Trump in his own words.
No Spin, No analysis, just Trump in his own words.
Trump's own words will be Hillary Clinton's ready-made campaign ad.
Ted and Heidi were over heard saying, “Guess we’re not in Kansas anymore.” /S
No more Wisconsin Welcome, compliments of the DC Cartel.
Yes, props to Cruz for thinking he would find someone to appreciate his arrival in NYC and for showing up there.
Otherwise, he was guaranteed to fall completely off the media radar.
I noticed on the side bar that he moved over to Albany and out of NYC. Fewer tomato throwers, and in-your-face types, I suspect.
Poor Ted. He thought he had already won the whole Republican enchilada in a single state, Wisconsin.
The world’s top 25 deadliest cities includes no cities in New York state.
One is in Maryland and the other in Illinois, though. They made the list.
I see the Cruzers are chiming right in as expected with their attacks that NY is too liberal, we’re not conservative here, Ted was right, NY values, we don’t want NY votes. All the usual garbage. So predictable and further evidence that these people live in a bubble where apparently spouting Bible verses exemplifies conservative values. No matter. While they scoff at us, we will gladly give most if not all of our 95 delegates to Trump, eliminating Ted from mathematical contention. Ted can continue to be what he’s always been, the proverbial turd in the punch bowl.
“New Yorkers are proving exactly what Ted Cruz meant, when he said, New York Values.”
Ted insulted the whole state on national television. He never once apologized to them for doing that. Now he wants their votes. New Yorkers don’t seem to be very receptive to his appeals.
I don’t blame them.
If Trump had insulted everyone in the state of Texas on national television, do you think we would have received him so warmly here? Of course you don’t.
Of course they do. He shares their NY values which was precisely Cruz's point.
NY values? GTFOH!
I remember New Yorkers leaping from the WTC.
I didn’t see “New Yorkers” that day - they just looked like Americans to me. My countrymen.
The only “values” that matter to me are the values of each and every one of those American lives that were taken away on that day... and all of our days SINCE then ... and who is best able to STOP it from happening again.
Independents are on thing, but the Democrats would come over to vote for Cruz or Kasich because they want to face either Cruz or another establishment stooge in the general election. Just like in Milwaukee earlier this week.
New York Republicans however are squarely in Trump's lane. Kasich will finish second, Cruz will perhaps find double-digits but there's a good chance he's under 10%.
Hey Ted. I'm a Texan.
This is MY picture of New York values.
Stop trying to slam the wrong people.
The dumb thing about it is that it locks them in to that difficult, traditional republican pathway to 270 electoral votes.
We know the states. Drop Ohio or Florida and you are dead meat.
Losing Virginia kills you, too, any more.
Cruz lost all 3 of those.
Therein lies the problem. Lack of integrity. Just so long as one can facilitate the bottom line, to heck with those politicians moral compass. To heck with what's good for the health of our nation, as long as you're able to stuff your pockets.
This IS the problem in our country. No loyalty to the nation and our security, all about the almighty dollar....$$$cha-ching$$$.
Your list would be better if it included the dates or date ranges.
You can’t complain about the process when it doesn’t favor Trump, then be ok with it when it does favor him. At least be consistent.
“Which Americans would those be?”
The same ones that think that it is rude to look at people in the midwest and south as toothless dullards that like to sleep with their siblings, shoot guns at passing cars for fun, and drink moonshine for breakfast.
Trump is best able to stop it from happening.
Cruz didn’t even know he was against it until Trump polled well on his muslim immigrant position.
I don’t think Cruz has a single position that he didn’t steal from Trump....after the polling came in.
As well as your source(s).
“New York is not a proportional state. Its a winner-take-most state.
It is a winner take most states. You get basically 14 for winning the state and then there is three points for each of the 27 districts.
“There is no district in which Trump is not winning, so at this point he takes all 95 delegates.”
I’ll be waiting with baited breath for you to show me the polling data on all 27 districts that backs up your statement.
Tick, tock....
