“New Yorkers are proving exactly what Ted Cruz meant, when he said, New York Values.”
Ted insulted the whole state on national television. He never once apologized to them for doing that. Now he wants their votes. New Yorkers don’t seem to be very receptive to his appeals.
I don’t blame them.
If Trump had insulted everyone in the state of Texas on national television, do you think we would have received him so warmly here? Of course you don’t.

Ted insulted the whole state on national television.Cruz said that Trump had NY values. He never once said that NY values were bad or that NY'ers were bad. I guess NY'ers instinctively know that their values suck and that the truth hurts.
If you NY'ers are so tough quit crying and GTFOH!

Oh please...Trump has insulted every demographic in the nation, at one point. Those who actually care, recognize this and him, for who he really is.
Hence his high unfavorability ratings.

The reason I did not answer your question specifically, is because its a false premise. He was asked specifically about Donald Trump and he answered in relation to DONALD TRUMP specifcally, not to the ENTIRE state of NY.
BARTIROMO: Senator Cruz, you suggested Mr. Trump, quote, "embodies New York values." Could you explain what you mean by that?
CRUZ: There are many, many wonderful, wonderful working men and women in the state of New York. But everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal or pro-abortion or pro- gay-marriage, focus around money and the media.
And -- and I would note indeed, the reason I said that is I was asked -- my friend Donald has taken to it as (ph) advance playing Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA", and I was asked what I thought of that.
And I said, "well, if he wanted to play a song, maybe he could play, 'New York, New York'?" And -- and -- you know, the concept of New York values is not that complicated to figure out.
Not too many years ago, Donald did a long interview with Tim Russert. And in that interview, he explained his views on a whole host of issues that were very, very different from the views he's describing now.
And his explanation -- he said, "look, I'm from New York, that's what we believe in New York. Those aren't Iowa values, but this is what we believe in New York." And so that was his explanation.
And -- and I guess I can -- can frame it another way. Not a lot of conservatives come out of Manhattan. I'm just saying.
Ted is correct, in that the values Trump specifically holds, are liberal, just as he explained. And its a big reason Democrats keep getting elected over and over. Its a reason liberal policies keep being implemented.
If people had Texas values, they would be more Conservative, more about their God, Bible, guns, family, less government, etc.
I realize its hard for you to make sense, even common sense, when you don't think for yourself, and I doubt my explanation will help you, but at least I answered it as completely and thoroughly as I could. :)
