Cruz's reception in New York was chilly.
Back in January, Ted Cruz made the mistake of assuming the rest of America still hates New York. His dismissal of "New York values" didn't endear him to the Empire State — Governor Cuomo demanded an apology from Cruz, and the New York Daily News did what the New York Daily News does best — and as expected, the comment came back to haunt him as he campaigned in the Bronx on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, at a massive rally in Long Island, Donald Trump, who's polling ahead of Cruz in New York by a wide margin, used the senator's remarks against him. "Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on New York values like we're no good?" Trump asked the crowd. "Folks, I think you can forget about him."

You do know that Dems can’t vote in the NY primaries for Trump don’t you? A person would have had to change their party back in early Oct - and then it would still be a crapshoot if it would have been processed.
NY can not do crossover voting. So what is the logic of repeatedly saying that NY Dems love Trump?
Even were that true, not even the NY establishment could “pay him back” *wink wink* by voting for him. - the NY establishment is 100% dem. It’s why ALL NY business people, all unions, etc. donate to their campaigns.
He wasn’t a politician. He was a businessman dealing with what the POLITICIANS had created.

Politicians make the rules and it is up to capitalists to play by them and still make a profit. One does it for survival and the other does it through graft and corruption. What other perks did he get?

Trump said so just a few weeks back. He’s winning in all the northern areas, and the southern areas are simply not Cruz territory.
However, New York has a 20% threshold to take ANY delegates, and Cruz is not there. Kasich is ahead of him.
And, NY has a ‘take all’ threshold of 50% and Trump is OVER 50%.
I’ll remind you who fights the wars the “elites” start!

Interesting you mention core values, because I believe telling the truth to be a core value that I don’t see much of from Cruz.
Regardless, these are old interviews. Sorry, but I have changed my positions on many things over the past 20 years—for example, second amendment.
That’s just it...if that picture represented NY values, you wouldn’t have a Dinkins, a Bloomberg, a DiBlasio, a Sharpton, a Rangel, a Schumer...(feel free to add)

Well, Trump’s values aren’t “New York values.” I’m from New York, and I lived through not one but two of his very public tabloid-friendly divorces (where he came out as a total creep and a little crazy, too) and his various shady business dealings and bankruptcies, as well his attempt to seize the property of the little old lady in Jersey. He did provide a lot of copy for the press, I will say.
The fact that his antics appeared in the press on a regular basis was not because he reflected “New York values” but because he didn’t, and was almost the parody of the spoiled rich kid run amok that every New Yorker hates - even though he was way past being a kid at that point, so you couldn’t even excuse it that way.
You mean like a Ted being given whores by Goldman Sachs? Speaking of whores, what did Carley get for her $500K by Cruz? You think it was just a coincidence one of his girls changed campaigns and she gets a half million dollar payoff?
