Mark Levin gave a stern warning to both Donald Trump over his recent attacks on Ben Carson and Marco Rubio for trying to smear Ted Cruz on the Gang of 8 immigration bill, telling them both that their attacks are unacceptable to him.
He told Trump that if he continued these reckless personal assaults on Carson, he’d have to affirmatively oppose him.
He pretty much said the same to Rubio, pointing out that he simply can’t accept Rubio’s smear attacks on Ted Cruz and that it was his decision to support the Gang of 8 and he would have to live with it.

Trump has brought more to the forefront - of issues of IMPORTANCE - than ANY Repub candidate has in the last decade.
Immigration wasn’t even on the radar, last election. Our vets have been through hell over the last 7 years and Syria has been a bigger mess than ever, for the last few years and no one was screaming louder against the terrible trade deal - or ANY of these things - than Trump.
So you can take your high and mightiness right out of here. I’m rooting for America...and Trump is fighting hardest to make her great, again.

Brilliant argument! The same argument that could be made for Obumble. Just because so many people support a candidate doesn’t mean he’s the best person for the job.
IMHO, the “right” (using the term loosely because Trump Toadies know they’re supporting a progressive) has its own version of LIVs. It’s not so much that they’re LIVs; it’s more that they want their little ears tickled and Donny’s more than happy to do that for them.
I haven’t seen such a destructive force on the Republican side since I’ve been actively involved in politics. Trump Toadies have savagely dissed some venerable conservatives on this site because they have taken issue with something Trump said or did. I’m seeing the same kind of adoration that I saw toward Obumble when people were fainting and hyperventilating. This Trump mania is unnatural. And scary as hell.

Anyone who supports a Democrat over a Republican in the general election is a traitor. Levin would never do that.
I was talking about presidential nomination, which is the subject under discussion. Bevin is a good campaigner and the anti-insider sentiment carried him to victory regardless of Levin in his state race. Same reason 2 complete outsiders are leading presidential race by huge margins. I do not remember enough about Cruz’s TX race from 3 years ago to comment.
I agree with this part of what you said. Hopefully now that Trump has branded Carson as "pathological" he can back off on the personal stuff. I think he was doing fine before when he was contrasting his advantage in negotiating and dealing with people.
As for Levin, I think he was still pissed off from the other day when Trump tweeted about Carson lying (the Politico story), so this added to it.
I have only listened to half of the speech so far, but the part I have heard is not a "very bad" speech, quite the contrary. The section where he was discussing what the penalties are for illegally crossing other countries' borders was very strong. The part where he said he would "bomb the s__t out of ISIS" looks absolutely prescient given today's events.
Of course the only thing that anyone wants to remember is the Carson stuff, but that was 10% of it.
As others have said, Cruz is obviously Levin's guy if only because he is one of the few candidates with the right position in immigration. I don't necessarily see anything wrong with that, Levin gave both Trump and Rubio airtime this week and asked them both penetrating questions without being confrontational about it.
No one has to support a Democrat. Write in a conservative. Or vote for neither if thats not an option. There is no vote against. Your vote empowers. Civics 101.

Trump has said many times that he only attacks when and IF he is attacked . I cannot recall Carson ever attacking Trump for anything . On the contrary , Carson has had some of the best comportment of all the candidates in general .
Trump risks looking more and more like a wackadoodle and mean spirited . Not merely defending himself .

The perception of Trump overshadowed by Paris. Well, maybe but the point Trump was making about Carson was correct, though the presentation was a little off target.

Ted Cruz brought immigration to the forefront by fighting along with other conservatives against the Gang of 8 bill. Trump apparently sat that one out.
This forum should not be bashing one of the most consistent, conservative voices on our side, Mark Levin just because he criticizes the very flawed candidate Trump and favors a far superior and more conservative candidate, Cruz. Such a position represents a complete, corrosive, crack-up of the conservative movement. Decrying your greatest longtime allies in favor of someone who has flip-flopped on important positions like abortion recently, who supports Obama’s opening relations with Cuba, rejects privatizing government entitlements, thinks Ed Snowden should be executed and said Kim Davis should’ve been required to obey the Supreme Court on same-sex marriage licenses.
Supporting Trump doesn’t disqualify you as a conservative but when you decide to tear down great, pure, long-time conservatives just because they oppose Trump, your support for Trump becomes an irrational fanaticism and you become an enemy of the conservative movement.
