Two debates tonight on CNBC live from the Coors Event Center at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
The 'kids table' started just after 6 p.m. EDT with Sen. Lindsey Graham (SC), Gov. Bobby Jindal (LA), former Gov. George Pataki (NY), and former Sen. Rick Santorum (PA).
The main event at 8 p.m. EDT will feature Donald Trump (NY), Dr. Ben Carson (Fl), Sen. Marco Rubio (FL), former Gov. Jeb Bush (FL), Carly Fiorina (CA), Sen. Ted Cruz (TX), former Gov. Mike Huckabee (AR), Gov. Chris Christie (NJ), Gov. John Kasich (OH), and Sen. Rand Paul (KY).
Moderators for both debates are: John Harwood, Carl Quintanilla, and Becky Quick.
“Thereâs a huge difference in the number of H1-Bâs that are graduates of US universities (and particularly with advanced degrees) and the total number being imported. While I am a Cruz supporter, I wonât fault Trump for his statement tonight, which needs to be taken in context.”
I concur. less and less of our own kids are getting degrees in math, engineering, hard science- much less advanced degrees. Public education has made it so they can’t pass the classes. Each year, more foreign students get those degrees.
Trump’s idea is to keep them here.
I don’t get Cruz’ idea to increase the H1B’s - or is it just these graduates he’s targeting as well?
Which is ironic considering that Huckabee reminds many of a stray blimp.
Hank
I ain't stayin' up all night, so damn that John Kasich!
Next debate should be top 4 in the Drudge poll : Trump , Cruz , Rubio and Carson .
Would one of them please slap the blonde in the middle.
Elvis could buy TVland in his day. John may want to get a barber first.
damn Ohio too.
Cruz - “Eliminate the IRS” WINNNER!!!!!!!
After 911 airline passengers learned that going along with hijackers was the wrong strategy.
It appears the candidates have also learned that going along with the moderators is the wrong strategy.
Finally, finally.
The liberal moderators are off the game. They cannot handle this group on the stage. They are afraid of what Trump might say which could hurt this cushy careers. Trump will say “you are fired.”
Rubio is the best debater of all of them. He avoids the weeds and still keeps the ear.... without putting you to sleep in a sleepy voice.
did Trump leave? I haven’t seen him talk in ages.
Kasich-off deep end
carly-invisible
jeb-walking on broken glass
Rubio-angry
Trump-biding his time
Carson-off his game
Paul-subdued
Huckabee-funny
Christie-invisible amazingly
Cruz-WINNER
Exactly...
Or even close...
I agree!!!
At the beginning, it’s what the moderators planned....We want to see them fighting each other.
Trump being ignored, but his demolition of Kasich have carried the night. If I had to grade it it would be. Cruz, Trump, Rubio.
Kasich is the crazy old uncle you don’t introduce to any of your friends. He needs to go away before someone throws a net over him.
“Thank goodness for Trump for helping these people understand you can stand up for yourself, you don’t have to suck up to get votes.”
My Dad came by and saw me today and said this very same thing! We LOVE Trump and CRUZ!! Can they beat the old establishment and the corrupt media! We’ll see. TRUMP ON!
