Presidential candidate Donald Trump set off another political firestorm Friday after implying that President George W. Bush was to blame for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, drawing the ire of his Republican rivals.

The reason the Bushes did not close the southern borders is, I suspect/believe’, is that the Bush family is very close to the Spanish culture.

no he isn’t. he was asked a specific question about he would be different than Bush was on 9/11. Part of his answer was that this happened on Bush’s watch

I wasn’t parroting the ‘Bush kept us safe’ line. All I was saying was that I have a hard time believing Bush and/or Bush’s security team knew something was imminent and didn’t do much of anything.

The aftermath of 9.11 was terrible, as has been pointed out. No arguments there from me.

My point has always been the rights that have been systematically taken away from us as a trade off to ‘keep us safe’. I’m under no illusions about many of the goings on since the Towers fell, and continue to this day.

I honestly think it has nothing to do with conservatism. I would wager it has far more to do with his “Damon the torpedoes” non-PC way of raising issues that the establishment is unwilling to do.

Maybe you are assuming too much with that particular word.

If a man cant say what he means and mean what he says he has NO BUSINESS being the Chief Executive Officer of the most powerful nation on earth...regardless of the cause of his communication issues.

DT said REIGN...and I for one will take him at his word when its so abundantly clear that his statement was intended to RILE people up

one rube in that office..every hundred years or so is more than enough

President Bush actually did try to do something about the banking and home loan industry many times but was constantly rebuffed by congress.

And, as usual, Bush's unforgivable lack of communication to the American people helped Congress keep that kind of crap in the shadows until it was too late and it crashed all around us.

The whole shrugged shoulders and "Hey, we tried" bit just doesn't cut it.

Definition of rube: an uneducated person who is usually from the country.

Just how does that term apply to Trump?

1.) He is not from the country (rural)

2.) He is extremely educated

3.) He is one of a few billionaires on this earth

4.) He is ranked high in the polls because he says what he means and means what he says

I’ll admit, he is not perfect, nor am I. It seems you are the only perfect person, so perfect that one word you don’t like is the same with you as hitting a brick wall. It will not cause him to lose points with anyone other than you. It is a non-starter. You should let it go.

Personally, I think Bush did think of himself as “reigning”. Once a reporter asked him a question he did not like; Bush asked him: “Do you know who you are addressing?”

Sad.

He turned out to be the Great Non-Communicator, didn't he?

He really just let the democrats crap all over him and then let them convince the public he asked for it.

Of course the filthy dems had the media as willing co-conspirators.

This has got to be the dumbest strategy/statement that Donald Trump has uttered yet. He sounds a bit like Rosie O’Donnell, not exactly Donald Trump’s favorite person.

It stands right up there with Bernie Sanders saying, ‘I am sick and tired of hearing about Hillary’s emails.”

Boarder is a good pun on border. No apologies are in order. Take credit for coining a new one! LOL.

They cross the border with impunity to become free boarders at our table of benefits!
