Hillary on the brink of collapse
NY POST ^ | April 25, 2015 | Michael Goodwin

Posted on 04/26/2015 7:38:13 AM PDT by COUNTrecount

passage from Ernest  Hemingway fits the moment. In “The Sun Also  Rises,” one character asks,  “How did you go bankrupt?” and another responds: “Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.”

The exchange captures Hillary Clinton’s red alert. She’s been going politically bankrupt for a long time, and now faces the prospect of sudden collapse.

If she’s got a winning defense, she better be quick about it. The ghosts of scandals past are gaining on her and time is not on her side.

The compelling claims that she and Bill Clinton sold favors while she was secretary of state for tens of millions of dollars for themselves and their foundation don’t need to meet the legal standard for bribery. She’s on political trial in a country where Clinton Fatigue alone could be a fatal verdict.

After 25 years of corner-cutting and dishonest behavior, accumulation is her enemy. Each day threatens to deliver the straw that breaks the camel’s back. It may already have happened and we’re just waiting for public opinion to catch up to the facts.

Meanwhile, her Houdini skills are being tested big time.

Hillary’s one big advantage is obvious — she’s the only serious contender for the Democratic nomination, and she beats most GOP opponents in head-to-head matchups. But everything else weighs against her, including momentum.

20 years ago, Her husband boinked a little intern girl in the White House, in the shadow of Washington and Lincoln, then lied about it on National TV...and went on to be re-elected.

Lately, We have also witnessed a modern day Islamic sympathizing Trojan horse wreck havoc on everything from the American Dream to what it means to be a Man or a Woman.

I have ZERO confidence that anything Hillary has done will derail her march to the Presidency.

My only hope is that a very strong conservative with a stiff spine will be aggressive and relentless in combating her.

I seriously doubt that.

Besides she has the at least 47% of the vote in the bag no matter what she does or has done. I know this for a fact. I have people in my family who would vote for her no matter what. Nothing she could do would be worse to them than voting for a Republican.

Clinton could be filmed torturing kittens and puppies and she’d still have 47% of the vote.

I think she’s toast. But we can hope she makes it to the nomination.

Jeb is the GOP nominee, O’Malley wins in a landslide on a record low turnout because conservatives will stay home.

I'm thinking if its Jeb, there will be a Tea Party candidate on most state ballots and the results are still a landslide for the Dem (in electoral votes) but the popular totals look like:

D 45%

R 35%

T 20%

I have come to the grim conclusion that we are deluding ourselves thinking that any scandal is going to make Hillary go away. An honest person looks at Hillary's record and wonders why she is not in jail. A Democrat looks at Hillary's record and sees a cash cow.

According to www.realclearpolitics.com:

It looks like the Fox News (4/24) polls show Hillary is leading ALL GOP contenders. Never mind the inevitable election fraud that can swing key states. Once Hillary gets the nomination the MSM will work full time smearing her GOP rivals.

Clinton 45 Bush 41
Clinton 46 Walker 40
Clinton 46 Rubio 42
Clinton 46 Paul 43
Clinton 47 Cruz 42

They may let it go down to the end...just like Obama...but I don't think so.

Right now....candidates just have to cool their heels...and watch the money flow.

In the end, I'll say O'Malley. Good looking dude gets the women's vote (Ask Bubba how that worked). Every other vote will be "get out the vote campaigns". Rhetoric means nothing. It's all blah, blah, blah...

Clinton could be filmed torturing kittens and puppies and she’d still have 47% of the vote.

Maybe, but she's done worse than that. She's cheated on her taxes!

Low information voters may not understand the financial intricacies and laws surrounding charitable foundations, but, By God, they understand paying your taxes!

"Boy, if I made a mistake on my taxes, the IRS would hound me to the grave! How come SHE gets away with it???"

Wait and see. It will by like Al Capone.

Anyone who would vote for Hillary is either corrupt or brain-dead. Which explains why she lost the 2008 primary to Obama.

Actually, the Lewinski thing happened well into his second term. That being said, if the Constitution allowed more than 2 terms, I would not have bet against Clinton getting re-elected.

Enough voters have lost so much critical-thinking skills, that attacking her is considered off-limits and “political” in their minds. They will even ignore reporters at left wing MSM outlets. And she will spend $2.5 billion in ads.

She gets the nomination and only needs Florida or two swing states and she is President for 8 years. Doesn’t matter if it’s Cruz or Paul or Bush.

I would much rather that Hillary suddenly collapse in Aug 2016.

Be mindful of the flip side of that. Consider a calculated delay in her collapse, or perhaps even the unintended consequences of a late collapse - it allows little time for vetting those waiting in the wings, by a press that has no desire to vet in the first place. Besides, a party whose base is geared towards worship of their latest demi-god, the peak of their popularity might be timed for a last-minute introduction to the fray that generates the highest votes for Nov 2016.

My sources said she even used the “N” word often when she was in the Governor’s mansion in Arkansas. I guess they are too afraid to come out with that. (Then again that info was given to me in the early 90’s when I was a Perrotista.)

I agree. The MSM are the gatekeepers, and this stuff wasn’t unknown before. Plus, they’ve colluded with the Hussein administration all along in covering for him, and Hillary was a part of that administration as SOS. She’s not now, he’s a lame duck, a good part of the progressive left considers Hillary to be a corporatist (of course they don’t admit that the whole mainstream political animal is just that), etc. It could be ValJar, cleaning up on the Payback List, it could be someone like Soros, who can afford to flout Hillary in pursuit of his globalist destruction of civilisation agenda, there are many potential players. When it comes to people like Soros and ValJar, Hillary is still a little fish in their exclusive pond.

A typical fleecing.

Get the rubes to think you can deliver,

Then get them to pony up,

Then, with the "I tried, really tried, but just couldn't do it"

Then pour another drink while counting the boodle.

She never intended to really run, or win, just like her husband. They were actually shocked that the rubes bought their line hook line and sinker.

Grifters, pure and simple.

Yes and Fox trotted out Clintons professional liar this morning. According to Lanny, it’s all a conspiracy. Nothing to see here.

I’d be surprised they’d care, after all the left makes the rules, just as they did when Robert Byrd was designated the “conscience of the Senate”. They might not go around announcing that she said it, but they’d find a way to spin it to the public if their other tactics of ignoring the issue or blatant denial of the issue didn’t work. But denial would probably work-the left will deny unpleasant and detrimental things even if they’re on video. This is just another aspect of how much it matters that they own the MSM.

We will know when the end is near...she will start appearing in blackface.

The Jonathan Gruber Law of Stupid American Voters was verified in the 2012 election...that is her last hope.
