Eight years ago my WWII vet father was under Hospice care. We were trying to get a pain med from the VA but the VA doc was stonewalling.
Took the intervention of my Congresscritter to get the meds sent—they arrived the day before his Funeral.
Remember: VA healthcare is single payer.

There isn’t a bureaucracy that doesn’t exist to serve itself. I tremble for God’s certain wrath.
Silly New York Vets, expecting medical care while hardworking NY/NJ UNION / DEM / GOVERNMENT SYSTEM employees go without 350% overtime and 200K annual retirement pensions, not to mention Obamaphones! No wonder they have to siphon off some opiates to make ends meet.

I’m a Vet. I’m saving a bullet for myself, for sure.
What do you expect from Democrats? They have no qualms about killing innocent babies in their mother’s womb. And in the case of the mothers a part of them. Is it to be expected if some elderly, who are unable to care for themselves are killed without mourning, or remorse.
I’ve had intravenous morphine and you know it when it hits. If these folks had been on it more than one day, I bet they complained and got written up for whining.
Being in long term pain (months) is the worse thing, they couldn’t give these folks another injectable narcotic or even a pill? How do they care so little; how do they sleep, I guess with morphine!
This is truly worth righteous retribution in the form of revenge. In effect, the doctors and nurses involved were committing acts of torture. And because of their victims, this transcends legal retribution which would be unlikely in any regard.
Perhaps the best method would start by administering them a large dose of an endorphine blocker. Endorphines are the bodies natural painkillers, and when blocked, the person affected goes through pain similar to heroin withdrawal.
From there, only creativity would determine how much suffering is adequate.
