Eight years ago my WWII vet father was under Hospice care. We were trying to get a pain med from the VA but the VA doc was stonewalling.
Took the intervention of my Congresscritter to get the meds sent—they arrived the day before his Funeral.

Does not matter if this happened once or many times over the years. It should NEVER EVER happen.
The VA paid a few thousand in beni’s to Dad because of his Korean War service. A couple of years ago they took it back. Dad spent 13 months in Korea, but the armistice was signed when he was half way across the Pacific. Some as swipe in congress changed his qualifications so he was no longer eligible for the money he received. His check dropped to $200 per month till the amount was paid back.
Now they have stopped his health benefits due to lengthy travel for checkup to get his meds.
Screw these damn democrats. VA is Obamacare! Get ready you gullible idiots, and my sympathy for those who voted against it.
Don’t put Christians in hospice care.
Hospice, I am convinced, kept increasing my husband’s morphine doses until he finally died.
