Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has been fired from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality.
A+E Networks, parent company of A&E, has released the following statement to Variety:
We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertsons comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.
Oh, I did not know that. :(. Well any way. I guess I won’t be watching the Rose Bowl parade either.
Frankly, they don’t even need to move to another network. They can just have their own show on a website that they own and maintain.
A clever person can watch DD every week and never touch the A&E channel.
No commercials, either.
Just sayin’.
Duck Dynasty is a huge Money Maker. If A&E will not contijue the series, Duck could start its own net work.
I knew sooner or later that the series would run up against political correctness.
Now it gets interesting. The Robertsons will be more popular than ever.
I stand with Phil. He’s the heart of the show. If his boys
and Si go on without him, it would go against everything
they have stood for. They need to get out of their contract
with A/E and walk away. I’ll never watch again without Phil.
You're talking about the show, right?
Or something...else? (Grins)
A&E picks up a turd by the clean end
Idiots!
Works for me. Hopefully the kids have the brass to do just that. Can you say lawsuit? Don’t mess with smart rednecks.
I KNEW IT. Gayness is todays Holy Grail. Sickening.
If you had been paying attention back in the 80’s, when the Hollywood Media types were blaming RONALD REAGAN for all the media people dying of AIDS, and nit the lifestyle that infected them, you’d have known this was coming.
My email to A&E:
I was extremely disappointed to read of your suspension of Phil Robertson’s participation in Duck Dynasty based on his comments regarding homosexuality. It is a shame that tolerance is only afforded to those with what you deem appropriate views. If you choose to cater to 2% of the population, that is your decision. However, I fail to see that as a wise business decision. If you would take the time to read the comments on Mr. Robertson’s comments, as I did, on sites like Yahoo.com, you would see that the vast majority of those posting comments agree with Mr. Robertson’s opinion. Additionally, many of those that do not were wise enough to recognize Mr. Robertson’s right to his opinion and saw nothing offensive with what he said.
You owe Mr. Robertson, the entire Robertson family, and like-minded Christians an apology. Unless your discipline of Mr. Robertson is immediately lifted, I have watched A&E programming for the last time. Additionally, I will contact advertisers on your network and inform them that I will not do business with companies that support anti-Christian and intolerant networks such as yours.
Sincerely,
You're on the internet, right?
Who provides most internet connections? Cable companies.
We're screwed either way.

“All he did was list homosexuality among other sins.”
In the new PC America that we allowed to be created, this is simply nit allowed.
I sent them an email. I AM boycotting them over this.
SCRU these people...let their faggot friends watch their crap.
Watching the show right now, and will list the commercials they have on.
God has a plan. Amen :)
So... the faction that does NOT believe the Bible is upset that their behavior is labeled (imaginary, to them) a sin?
Sounds like they are feeling the heat from a supernatural accuser they chose not to acknowledge.
DUCK DYNASTY makes duck calls.
A&E blows something else.
With the wild success of the series, someone else would pick it up in a shotgun second, or something like that. 1 pissant vs. millions of rednecks. Yeah I say rednecks. Of all colors.
