The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense...Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis....
The statement, released to Fox News, follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith.
(From our earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians--including chaplains--sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of treason, and of committing an act of spiritual rape as serious a crime as sexual assault. He also asserted that Christians sharing their faith in the military are enemies of the Constitution.)
Being convicted in a court martial means that a soldier has committed a crime under federal military law. Punishment for a court martial can include imprisonment and being dishonorably discharged from the military.

Same people pushing this are pushing gun control and demanding that others opine on gay players coming out.
Matthew 5:11:
“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.”
John 15:18
If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.”
Indeed. It’s so sad seeing our nation become the USSA.
Yep highest office has already been invaded and he is opening the gates
and the people still do not repent
but we will continue the fight...
My time in the Air Force was much shorter, but I didn’t experience anything of the sort either. I did, however, experience being propositioned after work by a guy on my Flight. He invited me to his dorm room, which was across the hall from my own, for a beer, and attempted to talk me into an “encounter”. I quickly left his room, and we never spoke again.
No, Future Snake Eater is right. It is very simple. We are under attack by people in power within our own country, and they are using the Alinsky playbook to full effect.
Not a wackjob at all.
Mine has the feel of a dark sinister cloud patiently sneaking up just beyond the horizon behind me, getting closer every day, staying just out of sight until it is time.
Does it get any more Orwellian than that? "Mikey" must be Chief Propaganda Officer of the Ministry of Doublespeak.
You're either misinformed, or intentionally naive. My family's military service goes way back. Every generation has served since 1776. The culture hasn't changed a lot over the years? Yeah, sure, perhaps in some other country, or on another planet.
Did you miss that in California 12 year olds are being provided condoms through an internet distribution program?
Same here. That evil presence beyond the horizon has been stalking since just after my dad died in 2009. I'm so glad he is not here to see these things.
I wonder what Obama would do if you were a Homosexual who shares Christian Faith. Call for Court Martial or call of congratulations?
I’m sure it’s been said much in this thread (I’m just reading it), but this and open gay service) is about draining the military of patriotic Americans and loading it up with those who will have no problem opening fire on American citizens.
No, those who identify an act of witnessing, as an act of proselyting, do not understand Christianity.
No human being is able to ‘convert’ another human being into becoming a Christian. Conversion is the work of God.
Man can witness to one another, but we lack the power to convert. (When you find somebody with the ability to create human spirits, then they might be able to accuse them of converting somebody from being the old man to a new man.)
I concur.
I rejoice when my fellow man comes to Christ, but if they don’t, that is an issue between them and God.
I love them so I would never want them to be condemned to the Lake of Fire for all eternity future, but when they reject what He provides, they are already condemned and simply await a direct verification at the Great White Throne Judgment.
The accusation of ‘spiritual rape’ being identified with communicating the Gospel, manifests much.
About the only person who would make such an identification would be a spirit which is not in fellowship with God, possessing the soul of the author, who immediately recognizes the power of Christ in the mind of the unbeliever when first introduced to the Gospel.
Every human is born dead of that spirit until the good news of Christ is communicated to Him, and he exercises faith/belief in the work of Christ on the Cross. Such persons might be enemies of Christ until they receive Him, and already condemned, but only those who further degenerate into quenching the Holy SPirit, actively find the good word to be ‘offensive’.
Something will awaken America. Question is what?
Sounds like you are doing a word dance just so you can feel right or just so you can argue with someone.
What do you think this apparently new Pentagon rule is talking about? It’s talking about witnessing or talking to others about Jesus. That’s what they or others mean by “proselytising”. Come on, man, talk about the real topic. Why do you feel the need to side track it with definition arguments?
