If healthcare passes the socialist coup d'etat has advanced beyond the point of no return!

Let's face it FRiends, if the unconstitutional healthcare bill passes, the socialist coup d'etat will have advanced well beyond the point of no return!

There is nothing in the constitution that authorizes this illegal federal power-grab and plenty that forbids it. If the Obama/Reid/Pelosi Marxist attempted coup pulls this off without the people resisting to the hilt, then they'll have no restrictions whatsoever on implementing the rest of their Liberty killing Marxist agenda. America will be no more.

The whole idea of our constitution is to severely restrict the federal government to only its dozen and a half expressly listed enumerated powers and to guarantee and protect our unalienable individual rights as well as our sovereign states rights and republican form of government.

The constitution has not failed, the people have. When the government will not willingly restrain itself within its legal bounds, then its the duty of the people to enforce the constitution and restrain the government.

The constitution does not define our rights, it defines the limits on government. Our rights are granted by God not government, and government cannot take them away. Our government was established by and for us and was granted by us certain limited powers and only those limited powers. Our government serves at our pleasure to defend our nation and our rights. It does not RULE over us.

Obama is not a dictator. Reid, Pelosi, et al, are not our rulers. When they overstep their bounds to the degree they have, then they MUST be brought back down to reality.

It's time to jerk their constitutional chains taut!

It's time for US to enforce our Constitution and invoke our Bill of Rights!!

It's time to assemble for duty, for Liberty!!

>Where does it end? The Republicans get more liberal every election.<

A question for you, because I think about this a lot. You are right, but WHY do they?
is it because they perceive that is what will get them elected or is it because that is what they really believe?

After they have seen the tea parties, I think a few are testing the waters about being more conservative. certainly Sarah Palin is. As she does her popularity grows and the liberals hate her more.

Do you think that it will spark a wave of conservationism now that they see this is what the people want?

You make some great points Munz. Of course you could be right but as has been discussed many times, these people don’t care about the ramifications of what they are doing which indicates that they have ‘further’ plans to deal with the population. They’ve been too confident and that confidence is based on something besides arrogance (imo).

I just need a date and I’ll be there. I have not attended any of the tea parties that have occurred this year, but I’ve reached my breaking point.

Hey, I've always liked your posts. You're very fortunate to have your life experiences - it's going to come in handy.

You just need to discard any sense that "they" have any power in which to do "anything". They don't - while you were in the service, I was in finance.

Governments are nothing more than a collection of people. As such, they are subject to the same iron clad rules of mathematics. Just because they have the ability to print extra dollars doesn't make them any different from a down-and-out loser writing IOUs.

In the end, the bill must come due. The only way real wealth is produced is through the application of energy to create something that didn't exist before, whether it be food, goods or services. Simply printing tickets (money) to hand out to free-riders achieves nothing.

Keep you power dry, because when this goes down, people will be desperate for real leaders - people who can motivate & organize others to help themselves.

The American Revolution was an unlawful act.

The morality of it all depends on which side of the tyranny one was on.

If someone takes extreme action against and unlawful and immoral government I won’t condemn them.

Will you?

Retaking congress alone will accomplish none of that since der Fuehrer will refuse to sign any bills turning around his power grab.

Cutting off funding is one of the steps of course, but nullifying his signature with investigations of his citizenship, the hundreds of SS numbers this jackal has used, etc. will likely force an early termination to his presidency, along with all of his accomplices on the basis of who knew what and when.

So who needs his signature if he's no longer there? Asssume the House flips, Boehner becomes speaker, Obozo and Plugs are forced to resign. We will be looking then at a care-taker President Boehner -- the Cromwellian model.

Consider this model a little further: England has it's "Glorious Revolution" in 1688 with what was essentially the peaceful removal of King Charles II by Parliament, and at that a mere ~40 years since Charles I was beheaded -- by Cromwell.

The US could depose its "Messiah" and jail the rascals who covered for him. Democrat will become synonymous with Traitor, even as the term "Catholic" eventually became in England. Not a Catholic King has sat on the British throne since.

Blend the Cromwellian model and the purges that followed together with the Glorious Revolution extension of that model in 2011 and yes, it could happen here.

Jim Rob, I always like reading what you have to write. I must disagree, however, with this:
"will have advanced well beyond the point of no return"
If the Americans are pushed to their breaking point, there is no law that cannot be overturned. If that's not the case, then America as it has been known since 1789 will no longer exist.

One example I like to use is HOV (high-occupancy vehicle) lanes in New Jersey. People here were resigned to their existence, despite all the problems, the accidents, the deaths that resulted from them. However, there reached a point where public outcry became so loud that -- even in a blue state like New Jersey -- the politicians had no choice but to remove them. Today, there are no HOV lanes in New Jersey.

Granted, HOV lanes in New Jersey does not approach the scale of the communism being foisted by Congress and the Kenyan. But it can happen; people need only a rallying cry after being pushed just one time too many.

Last, I gain comfort from my knowledge of the fatal mistake that the liberals have made. Every dictatorship in history needed to accomplish one thing before rising to power -- and the liberals have not done that yet. That one thing is DISARM THE POPULACE. There will be civil war before that will ever occur in this country.

Thanks.

Personally I’d enjoy knowing that a couple senators failed to show for their votes and will fail to show for anymore votes.

This is the end game of de-federalization. It is happening before our very own eyes! Live and remember these times.

Brilliant post. Absolutely true.

Many of us are panicking with the "Oh, woe is us" chorus, but we've got it backwards. We aren't going down because of them. We're going to crush them and stand on their bones as we light the torch of the New Renaissance.

Monuments will be built to those of us in this time who spit in the eye of tyranny, and brought it to its bloody end.

A question for you, because I think about this a lot. You are right, but WHY do they?
This is a very good question. I think there are multiple reasons. Probably the biggest reason, IMHO, is that there is a natural tendency for someone elected to want to govern, i.e. to exercise their power. It's great that Ron Paul consistently votes against unconstitutional laws, but I imagine that's rather boring fare for your average Congressman.

I think the second reason is that once elected, the focus of most of these clowns turns towards how to get re-elected. Bringing home pork to the home state is one way to buy votes. Passing big sweeping government programs that are popular with some particular voting block is another. And our system is currently broken in that there is no "feedback loop" on programs that don't work out well. The politician gets the credit when passing the initial legislation, but no blame when the program has unintended negative consequences or otherwise doesn't do well. This is an area where the press should be active, but unfortunately for today's lazy journalists it's just too easy to re-print Democrat talking points. Studying the impact of past legislation is hard.

I think the third reason is what you said. If you are on one side or the other, you are going to have some people really mad at you. No one likes to have people mad at them, and it takes resolve to stick to your principles. Unfortunately, most of these snakes try to straddle both sides (the press even glamorized this spinelessness during the Clinton years - remember "triangulation"?).

I think we are at an inflection point in our history. The dollar is going to collapse, and when it does things are going to go in one of two directions. If we go the route that European Social-Democracies went, the "answer" will be more intrusive government and more government regulation. If there is enough of that American independence and free spirit left, it's possible things might go the other way, and we might actually move back towards a Constitutional Republic again.

I'm trying to keep a positive attitude about all this, but after seeing someone like Obama get elected, it's really hard. Living and working near Seattle, I spend a lot of time talking to liberals these days, and I've even seen a good friend change from a conservative to a liberal. It's like a mind disease, and it runs so deep there is just no fixing it. Increasingly I am coming to the conclusion that we will never convince people like this, and that you can't have a functional free society with these people around. You need to get away from them, or get them away from you, and make sure that you stamp it out when you see it, because once it hits critical mass, your society is doomed.

Those that opt out, the my-way-or-the-highway people refuse to advance the ball in any direction. I am going to advance the ball in my direction no matter how small.
I respect your position, but humbly suggest that all you are achieving with that is to slow the slide into Hell. I'd rather try something that might fix the problem, even if it temporarily has the effect of accelerating the decline.

Your comment reminds me of what happened in 2000 at the airline where I used to work. Our pilots staged a "slow down" rather than an all-out strike because the company cut back on hiring new pilots and put out communications that current staff should "pick up the load." It worked this way: according to their contract at the time, the minimum number of flight time hours per month for pilots was 65 hours. The maximum was 90 (if I remember correctly). On average, most pilots would fly 70-80 hours per month by trading trips, picking up trips.

Instead of a walkout, they just all flew their minimum of 65 hours for the summer of 2000. And it threw the entire travel industry into a tizzy. Does anyone remember that summer? Flight cancellations all over the system. It was absolute chaos. I remember one flight where passengers were screaming obscenities at the pilots as they deplaned. It was insane. The pilots were there, they flew the trip - yet the media had played them all out to be the bad guys. They were just refusing to pick up the extra hours. In other words, they "shrugged."
