ACORN wants people to register to vote as long as theyre Democrats. Republican registrations go into the trash.
Here is a first-hand account of how it happens. In February 2008, Fathiyyah Muhammad of Jacksonville, Florida, heard that ACORN was paying people three dollars for each voter they could register. ACORN paid her three dollars for each voter she registered, but Fatiyyah Muhammad says that the group threw out her votes and fired her when she brought them registrations of Republican voters.
Fathiyyah Muhammad voted for Obama. Im a Republican, she says, and this was the first time that I voted for a Democrat since JFK
. Im one of those rare birds, a black conservative Republican, and actually this is the black conservative capital of the country, Jacksonville, Florida. She is an entrepreneur and a great American: she makes custom caps for her businesses Bilals Custom Caps and Only in America. She and her James have made custom caps for politicians, sports heroes, musicians, and others. America, she says, is the place you can live your dreams if you work at it. Shes a can-do woman with a great American spirit, and when she saw what was breaking in the news about ACORN, she came forward; I interviewed her Monday morning.

It will interesting to watch how the Obama administration handles this fiasco.
RICO, Special Prosecutor, IRS audits, dismantling of all ACORN related organizations, etc. are in order. Imho, if this kind of criminal activity is permitted by this, or any administration, the US will descend very quickly into a kind of third world banana republic. It will be like Venezuela and Cuba where those that can leave, will.

As far as I’m concerned, there should be a law against organizations that sign up voters. Any voter who isn’t interested enough to go to city hall and register, should forgo voting. Let counties and local governments send out registration material if they want, but we don’t need a bunch of commie scum and cons out hustling votes for the Bolsheviks.

Never, ever register to vote through someone who has been hired to register people to vote.

Here is the rub. King Obama and the massive corrupt machine will not prosecute ACORN. Oh, they will throw up a smoke screen and throw a few under the bus, but in essence, most of the organization will continue as long as the communists have control of America. Even in 2010, if we regain control of the Senate, nothing will happen for years and years until fatigue will hit and the entire thing will be dropped. I have very little faith in the Federal Government, so let it show me wrong.

Declaring party affiliation on a voter registration form is such a travesty. That wasn’t on my Texas voter registration card and I was shocked that I had to declare a party when I register or NEVER vote in a primary in New York. (Texas kept you from voting in more than one primary by stamping your card when you voted with the primary and date.)
I was always taught that “The vote is private” - not if you have to tell the elections folks which party you favor...

OTOH it is impossible for anyone to call themselves a conservative and to have voted for Obama.
With McCain as the other option some folks did odd things.

"You cannot think that there would ever be a credible investigation, let alone a prosecution, of any of the ACORN reprobates under a (D) administration and Congress................."
I wish I did not agree with you but, sadly, I do. The lefties will stop at nothing in their quest for eternal power, and the RINO right will stop at anything.

The only way to address this is in the courts.
It would take decades to break this cycle in congress.

As my nearly year old tag line would indicate, I was surprised to read that ACORN employees ever registered
anyone but dims.
Yet I still hope those with some idealism left will continue hammering on ACORN vote fraud.

Yeah,.. They’ve proved acorn GUILTY of voter fraud in WI in several elections. From local up to presidential, and it just gets swept under the rug.I just love this damn state!(sarc).

I suspect doing this commits two Federal felonies.
Voting rights, and civil rights.

This kind of corruption from the left is the reason I have very little hope for 2010 elections. Even if ACORN is neutralized, another group will take its place.
