Heads Up - Multiple COLBS Warning [someone swapped out the Kenya BC AFTER it was posted]
Various ^ | August 3, 2009 | Various

Posted on 08/03/2009 2:12:53 PM PDT by Calpernia

There are now modified photos of the COLB that broke here yesterday. The changes are so slight, that no one is noticing them.

The original one posted in breaking news:

One of the modified ones:

The changes are so subtle, you can barely tell which one you are looking at.

This modified one is showing jokes like: The Font of the Certificate=Schmutz (A Schmutz is a chump, as in you are a chump) #5733=The number of the Certificate, is code for : "Problem with Windows REGISTRY", a sly reference to your claim that Obama does not appear on the Hawaii Live Birth Registry. 47O44=Easiest of all. BOH's age=47 0=O (if you look close you can tell that that is a Schmutz Font "Oh" not "Zero") EF Lavender is ORGANIC DISH SOAP

The original one does not say EF Lavender, it says KF Lavender. The original one shows the number is: 47,644.

OMG I know what Chris Matthews meant. I have tingles all over though. I hope this isn’t a joke.

Don’t we all....Just go to sleep, and have pleasant dreams that it IS true and we can all say “we told you so” tomorrow. Night all.

Good to see you on the line, ant. Seems like maybe the ban on hunting CoLB trolls is over.

I got reprimanded today for troll hunting. I replied by posting Jimrobs thread from yesterday about FR being invaded by punk trolls in response. Didn’t hear back after that.

Oh, I see the 7s. 6d. was already questioned. See my post and links at 1353. Kenya was on a decimal system long before 1964, and Australia not until 1966.

When this is all done and we’re drinking beer, reminiscing, I’m gonna ask MHG how he got a pass. Maybe I bribed the wrong official.

This is from a screen capture from her site link that I did *early* yesterday when the thread first broke.

It seems this kerfluffle is MY FAULT for posting a low resolution JPEG, never intended to be a forensic study, on FR to allow people a quick look at the Kenyan BC. Sheesh.

I've put our rail built for two on order... looks like we are really going to need it.

You can save that image as a JPEG on your computer, then zoom in and plainly see the “K”. I’ve got a Mac and I’m using the Preview app. I’ve zoomed in several levels, and though the photo gets blurry, the “K” is plain as day. In fact, it’s clearer at higher levels of magnification than the other letters and numbers. I’ve zoomed in six levels and it’s still readable, while everything else around it is hopelessly blurred.

I, Swordmaker, created the JPEG image that is at the top of this thread. I have the original PNG capture file on my desktop from which it was created. The letter is an "E"! The appearance of a "K" is an artifact of the conversion from PNG to JPEG caused by simplifying the anti-aliasing of the character displayed.

the abreviation for pence has always been ‘d’ in Commonwealth countries.

pounds, shillings and pence is/was written:

Pound Sign. S (for shilling) d (for pence.)

It’s all your fault. Maybe the DUmmies will focus on you for a while & give JimRob & Polarik a break.

Kenya used cents (Kenyan 1942 "ONE CENT") on their coins. Australia used pence until 1966..

I had the same problem with the currency.

7 shillings, 6 pence is consistent with Australian currency in 1964 (12 pence to the shilling).

However, in East Africa they were using shillings divided into 100 cents.

Also, in Australia, a first world country, paying 7s, 6p was not an unreasonable amount to pay for a certified birth registration.

But in Kenya, a third world country with millions and millions of people living at subsistence level, 7s, 6p (setting aside the incorrect currency designation) would have been an ENORMOUS amount for the average Kenyan to pay for a birth certificate. Now having said that, it may have been that most Kenyans did not bother, or were not in a position, to have their births registered, but still, for those who did, that would have been extremely expensive.
