The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.
The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.
WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.
The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

The larger picture would catch Obama in a lie. There is a reason that this birth certificate is sealed. I don’t know what it is. I don’t understand why Obama fought so tooth and nail to keep it sealed.

Well, the other posted said because him mom didn’t live in the us for 10 years before AND 5 years after age 16, he is not eligible.
But you can be a natural born citizen and have two non-citizen parents. My grandmother is.

You can be a citizen even if your parents are not. My grandmother’s parents were born in Europe, but she was born here and therefore was a citizen.
I don't know what the "larger picture" could be other than perhaps showing that Obama didn't/doesn't know who his real parents are. Fuel for tabloids, but hardly something that disqualifies him from the presidency.
The fact seems to be, from the article Owen posted, that two people have viewed the ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE. That ends the story, because that's what everyone seems to be so concerned about viewing for themselves.
It ends the story, unless we are to believe that Onaka and Fukino are involved in some kind of massive conspiracy to keep us from the truth.
How many reporters would be on a story about Palin if she fought to keep her birth certificate sealed and she was half Canadian? Would we fear a possible Canadian connection more than an Islamic one?
It would mean Obama had lied. Why is the birth certificate sealed?
My guess, as an attorney, is that if there are court cases active, they would seal it.
What about the one released by the campaign? Is it a forgery?
I didn’t follow this very closely during the election as I took it to be ideological fallderall a la the McCain flap.

Wait a minute—didn’t you point me to the post earlier that said the problem is that his mom didn’t live in Hawaii long enough after 16?
What exactly is the problem? False birth certificate or constitutional disqualification due to legal requirements of birth parents?
If all Hawaii birth certificates are sealed why did Obama need lawyers to make sure that it stayed sealed? Who was going to steal his identity? He has had a number of identities himself. What is he trying to hide? How is the media helping to keep this thing a crazy lunatic type of story and what do they know that they refuse to report?
It could be more than one issue at the same time. One may or may not be related to the other.

From what I've read...she went to Kenya to visit...maybe in the 8th month or so of pregnancy and decided to return...and the airline wouldn't let her come back, secondary to her advanced pregnancy. The airline not wanting to risk an "inflight" birth.
Sounded pretty reasonable to me....If never heard your version at all.
