Ok, FReepers, time to "turn to!" All hands on deck! Man your battle stations!!
Oct 24, 2008 | Jim Robinson

As reported on another thread:

"Major Garrett reports from Hawaii 10 minutes ago that David Axelrod the Campaign Manager for Barack Obama says as of this morning the campaign had a meeting in Chicago and according to internal numbers they have "a clear road to victory holding all Kerry states while picking up Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Nevada and Virginia with an excellent shot at Montana, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Indiana."

They are saying they will get to 400 EV's election night."

And I just heard through the grapevine yesterday that McCain-Palin are needing grassroots support in battleground states like Nevada, Montana, Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, etc.

Can you imagine conservative Republican states going for Obama? No, and neither can I. Obama has the money, the press and the resources. McCain-Palin has the grassroots. It's time for the grassroots to scramble to action!

Grassroots? That's us! Time for all Free Republic chapters and members to visit or call the closest McCain-Palin or Republican headquarters, grab some signs, man the phones, walk the precincts, join rallies, spread the word! Don't let Obama and ACORN steal the election!! Get in their faces!!

We did it in 2000 and 2004, we can do it again in 2008!!

Go to work FReepers and Lurkers!! Get out the VOTE!!

They are doing something else. Something secret. Trust me. They have had something planned for a long time and it is big, it is huge, it is late, and it is under the radar.

HORSERACE
“Death Threats Sent to Pollster”

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “After releasing this morning’s numbers showing McCain ahead in Ohio and Florida, the Strategic Vision polling company received several death threats through the contact e-mail on the company’s web site.

David Johnson, the CEO of Strategic Vision, shared the messages with National Review Online.”

I think you are reading too much into Jim’s comment. I think it’s painfully obvious that “busting” or “buttoning” someone’s lip means they will be banned from this site, not that Jim is going to punch somebody in the mouth.

It’s his site, and if he doesn’t want to host comments by people who will spread a message that could help Obama win, that is his choice. Frankly, I think it’s long overdue, but better late than never.

Many of us weren’t thrilled to pieces when McCain won the nomination, but we are practical and realize that he is a zillion times better than the alternative. So, we got (and are getting) busy to do what we can to make sure the best choice is made. I never thought I’d donate to McCain or volunteer for him, but that’s now my reality. Instead of zeroing in on a comment you clearly didn’t take in the context it was meant, get busy to make sure Obama is not our next POTUS. Please!

Sorry, I’m voting for Chuck Baldwin. I can’t support liberal Republicans. Palin isn’t the top of the ticket.

But you CAN support Obama, by default. That makes no sense at all.

Upthread, this was posted by FR “cgk”. I said, prior to Sarah coming on board and prior to knowing how VERY evil Zero is...that I’d never again vote for the
“lesser of two evils”. And here I am, faced with all that cgk wrote out so eloquently.

I know that Sarah’s not at the top of the ticket. This year. However. If 0 gets in, WILL THERE BE ANOTHER election???

I pray that you read that post. I pray that you have a change of heart when that moment of truth hits you when you’re in the voting booth.

This person, 0’bama, can NOT be allowed near the White House.

If you live in a state that is already thoroughly in the bag for the Messiah (like mine, California), you can still get in the fray! Your local Republican headquarters is almost certainly manning the phones and calling into the battleground states. I spent several hours last weekend calling into Nevada, which is still in play, and hope to do the same tomorrow. Find your local Republicans and get on the phones!

(And you go, JimRob! Woo, feisty! :)

You spelled “Obamao” wrong. :-)

As for McKook-Palin, I donated $100 dollars back when Palin was first picked as running mate, and I plan to donate some more within a couple days.

I’ve been phone banking here in town. I must say, I’ve received more positive responses than hang ups!

There were quite a few that said they aren’t telling ANYONE who their voting for. I asked one lady who wouldn’t say “Could you give me a little hint?”. She giggled and then said “You’re on the right track”. We both laughed, she then wished me luck and a good night.
