I hate George W. Bush.
I'll say it again.
I HATE GEORGE W. BUSH!!
Yes, HATE.
I think his policies rank him among the worst presidents in U.S. history.
And, while I'm tempted to leave it at that, the truth is that I hate him for less substantive reasons, too.
I hate the inequitable way he has come to his economic and political achievements and his utter lack of humility (disguised behind transparently false modesty) at having done so. His favorite answer to the question of nepotism--"I inherited half my father's friends and all his enemies"--conveys the laughable implication that his birth bestowed more disadvantage than advantage. He reminds me of a certain type I knew in high school--the kid who was given a fancy sports car for his sixteenth birthday and believed that he had somehow earned it.
I hate the way he walks--shoulders flexed, elbows splayed out from his sides like a teenage boy feigning machismo.
I hate the way he talks--blustery self-assurance masked by a pseudo-populist twang.
I even hate the things that everybody seems to like about him. I hate his lame nickname-bestowing-- a way to establish one's social superiority beneath a veneer of chumminess (does anybody give their boss a nickname without his consent?). And, while most people who meet Bush claim to like him, I suspect that, if I got to know him personally, I would hate him even more.
Yes, I HATE GEORGE W. BUSH!
You got it. The quality of hippies is at an all time low. Third world levels. Bottom shelf. Low rent.
Snore...
I love you.
WOW.
You need some anger management therapy.
ZOT head.
Don't lose any sleep over this...you won't be hanging out at the ranch any time soon ;^D
Hate is a mighty powerful word. Why not expend that energy learning to keep you head out of your arse?
Still bored at the DU I see.
"He's worse than dead... his brain is gone!"
I love George W. Bush.
I'll say it again.
I LOVE GEORGE W. BUSH!!
Yes, LOVE.
I think his policies rank him among the best presidents in U.S. history.
And, while I'm tempted to leave it at that, the truth is that I love him for less substantive reasons, too.
I love the way he has come to his economic and political achievements with an utter lack of arrogance (while retaining a sense of modesty) at having done so. His favorite answer to the question of nepotism--"I inherited half my father's friends and all his enemies"--humorously summarizes the two-sided nature of his family's fortunes. He reminds me of a certain type I knew in high school--the kid who was given a pick up truck for his sixteenth birthday and believed that he had to earn it.
I love the way he walks--shoulders flexed, elbows splayed out from his sides like a teenage boy from Texas.
I love the way he talks--sometimes mangling a word with an added Texas twang.
I even love the things that everybody seems to hate about him. I love his lame nickname-bestowing-- a way to establish a relationship (doesn't everybody nickname their boss?). And, while most people who meet Bush claim to like him, I suspect that, if I got to know him personally, I would love him even more.
Yes, I LOVE GEORGE W. BUSH!
I hate cotton candy.
Ah, the party of "love and compassion" heard from yet again.
hehe! Nothing's going their way. :)I can't wait to see the reports from the FR "March for Justice II" today.
Ever feel you have power of mind over matter? Expecially when you visit the toilet?
Yeah! :)
I hate the way you lick stamps! I hate your furniture! And I hate that little sound you make when you sleep.
Hey, Do you know if anyone is there with a laptop to give us live updates? Or will we have to wait for them all to get home and post.
