Just now on his radio show...says we taken over by fringe people
Finally! I'm a member of a fringe group...I have felt so left outta things!! So now what do we do? Do we need to issue cards, develop a secret handshake?? I'm new to this...help me out.
He's a faux Conservative as far as I am concerned. He's more concerned about talking to teenage girls and married women on the telephone. He's the male white Oprah for the radio.
He lied about that, imo.
Didn't used to be like that 4 or 5 years ago when I signed up. I haven't posted there, but the fact that he's charging people to post there does not in the slightest bit surprise me.
I accept your apology.
;-)
Sean's always been a soft, self-promoter.
Even Rush last week was pretty darn cool toward the bloggers who, rightly, outed Eason Jordan
I thought the whole thing was just wierd.
Right! the whole thing is wierd are right on the heels of the MSM discrediting bloggers last week and these communication mergers between SBC - AT&T and Verizon - MCI.
OK, what does that all mean. Well, it means CONTROL!
I predicted MCI & AT&T would get bought out 6 months ago. I've been in the communications business for 20 years now and something was up.
Verizon is now and is finished with high speed fiber to the curb or the last mile in many area around east-coast cities.
Ivan Seidenberg the Ceo of Verizon in also in the board at Viacom. Look for movies and content from Viacom over fiber optic broadcast.
OK, now the the big CONTROL thing. Most of the fiber optic cable is control now by 4 big companies. Verizon, SBC, Bell South and Quest. Their are smaller players like Level 3 (LVLT) and Equant (ENT) and others but they also may go BK or get bought out.
Last week I felt the market control squeeze from these players and if your in the stock market long term VZ and SBC are a great buy after their merger lows.
The new media will be snuffed out slowly because of higher prices and/or maybe new Internet laws but something is up and Hannity was acting squirrelly like he was reading from some "In the Club" talking points memo.
Bottom line is change is coming. Their is a silent media war on and you never know Free Republic may need a new FCC broadcast license in the future.
P.S. Other content players are Disney and Time Warner. This maybe the beginning of the "The Empire Strikes Back" Media Lockdown of the Internet.
AT&T is The Death Star
Very interesting. (Memo to self: why are we still up?)
Seriesly, I have to ponder your insight from an industry vantage point.
I agree completely that Sean sounded like he was reading a prepared statement. Well, a prepared thought that came out somewhat garbled.
It seems that the MSM/Hollywierd and associates are going to have to get some kind of control of the internet or else lose market completely.
But, really, what *was* Sean talking about that wouldn't be noticed by the MSM about his site or what? Just wierd.
I didn't get it. Why in the world did Sean feel the need to trash FR while promoting his OWN website, huh? Did he think some disgruntled Freepers would leave here and go to HIS website (instead of to Liberty Post!) ????hahahaaaa!
Thanks.
:^D
LOL! I frankly think FR spoiled talk radio for me..I listen to talk radio when I am on a long drive alone (usually Rush) and that's it.
I tried listening online while I freep and the commercials and promos just take too much time...
Yeah, I'm heading home to get some sleep now.
Did Hannity mean "if a democrat" instead of "republican" did it they would.
"And it's it's amazing cause if a republican did it they would!"
You see the MSM would talk up successful democratic sites and never mention republican sites.
Maybe Hannity had some weird made up analogy market place gibberish flipper intro moment before his premeditated bust-rant comparison of his Super Great "I mean and were just very very glad you found it, you may find the girl or guy of you dream there to." Site .vs steady & true Free Republic.
Did Hannity ever sell used cars?
LOL
Think Hannity's aware of the irony of complaining about people who attack their own?
Say, why are so many of today's conservative commentators such loud-mouthed, sarcastic, adolescent jerks? I mean, Rush was fine back when there was only one of him. But what happened to people like William F. Buckley and William Safire, who knew the meaning of the word "subtlety" (probably even knew how to spell it, which I don't)? I can't remember the last time I saw anybody under 60 on TV (except on Nova, Jeopardy and reruns of Hee-Haw) I thought was smarter than me -- and I don't mean to imply I think I'm some kind of genius, far from it. (There are plenty of people posting here that I KNOW are WAY smarter than I am.)
That must be it.
Ha! And definitely twice as entertaining as the king of bland, the orginal GOP cheerleader, Mr. Nice, designed to appeal to suburban women by packaging GOP politics in a handsome, cute, and safe package, Mr. Sean Doofus Hannity.
It's funny. My issue is battling boredom on the roadways, not hearing political discussion. I already know what I think and who to vote for. There is no need for me to hear Hannity. He has nothing to offer and he's boring. But Savage is fun.
see what this guy said!
There's the bottom line right there. Bidness.
