Agree...he's a staunch Republican in the point you bring out...just sometimes, he makes me wonder about some things. He is / sounds like an honestly good conservative, however, he is seemingly taking the road of FNC. Sometimes, he just rolls over in is debates as to appear to be 'fair and balanced'.

I think Sean's succe$$ is starting to screw his thinking up. I pretty much stopped Hannity and Combs because too much of it is staged. I'd like to see Sean H, Ross P. and Pat B. go at just for the heck of it. I think Ross and Pat would eat him alive. That would be worth $25 for an hour to see with no commercials. I wouldn't be interested in who is really right on any topic, would listen though to how each handled it. Rush might even sponsor the program.....OK, I'm weird and now I'm going back in my hole...

Well, Sean, you're not all bad. I mean, you are a true capitalist. You always plugging your books proves it.

You can quote me if you're lurking. Just spell my handle right. That's r-d-b-3, period. </Fred Sanford>

I agree with you. His comments were self serving and designed to promote his own website. He did not have to impugn people on this site.

Just last week he behaved oddly when he almost gave away Mark Levin's Freeper name.

Sean is behaving like a RINO - a weak willed Republican who cannot stand up to a liberal democrat's dishonesty and hypocrisy. His pandering to Rengel has always grated, but especially today.

Yes he did go around the country with President Bush during the campaign, but so did a lot of other RINO'S - think McCain.

Ok...calm down everyone. This is an old trick that Hannity has used before. He is trying to get people over to his website to buy books etc.

The option is to freep his board with a lot of fringe stuff. Or simply tell him where he is wrong if you disagree with him.

Loony Todd is over there posting away .. LOL!!

The sad thing is that all that effort for so few to see/read/comment on.... Look at the first post on the latest post page, note the time, scroll to the bottom and note the time again.... It's almost an hour between them... which is some 70 or so post.... That tells you how big the site really is as far as participants go...

He is just mad because I said on FR that his radio show bores me. The TV show is ok but when he and Levin get to bantering back and forth I turn them off. That's weird too because I like Levin on TV.

You don't know what Sean said, but you KNOW some of us over-reacted.

I have no idea what he said, but it's a pretty fair bet that some Freepers overreacted. Some Freepers overreact to everything.

Here's a childish immature response to you Sean Hannity.

Your show is derivative of other talk shows. Your forum is a pale imitation of Free Republic. Putting your thumb in the eye of true conservatives isn't a way for you to get ahead.

I will accept no substitute for FreeRepublic.com ..... even if I have to walk around with chew marks on my ass.

Exactly...it is like someone talking about your brother.

"Yeah, I said that, but I am gonna beat your ass if you say it about him again".

Frankly, I prefer Colmes to Hannity on the show. I disagree with Colmes all the time, but he's a real gent.

Hannity dislike of Free Republic probably stems from two things:

1. Sean has never met an RNC talking point he doesn't like.

2. Free Republic has not only clashes of reasonable opinion, but a lot of unreasonable venting he wouldn't want to be associated with.

In Hannity's perfect world, there would be only broad, enthusiastic amens for each letter of the party line. FR fails to do that, so he sees us as a liability. The lack of interest in independent thought is probably Hannity's biggest weakness as an 'intellectual vanguard' of the conservative movement. Sean's a 'yes man' from way back.

I can sympathize with some of his argument, though. FR is an invaluable online resource, especially in times of crisis, but a lot of the time it's a funhouse cacophony of angry one liners. I probably ignore over 90% of what's written here, because of all the bizzare stuff that is pretty commonplace.

Try and see Hannity's side of it. If he came out and said, 'I'm a FReeper, and proud of it', any enterprising young journalist would have a field day tieing him up with quotes from our blatantly embarrassing members. Imagine this:

"So, Mr. Hannity, numerous people from your 'Free Republic' organization have been quoted as saying 'Nuke MeKKKa!!!' and 'Moose-limbs are an insane murder cult'. Are you comfortable belonging to an organization that tolerates this kind of talk?"

I love FR, and I lurked for years before signing on, but you have to admit, a lot of what gets posted here is shameful and boorish. It detracts from the great resource FR otherwise is. Can you really blame a TV personality for not wanting to be tarred with such a potentially toxic brush?

He also does an annoying Clinton impersonation

LOL - Sean is the only guy I've ever heard who can make a Clinton impersonation sound exactly like a Jackie Mason impersonation.

So, if I change my name to "fringe people" will I be able to take over this board??

Uh, moderator, how do I go about that?

Hannity is just another tee-vee lunatic fringe person himself, IMHO.
