The loser from Canada will be checking his sources very carefully from now on, I'll bet.
He knows we're out here just waiting for him to pull a Rather.

Whoa! you guys have been having fun with this while I was at work.
I, for one, will miss Dan Rather.....after all, I've managed to miss his newscasts for the past twenty years.

Howlin, Rather announced over two years ago that he'd be retiring a short time after the 2004 election.

Qwinn:
He's keeping the 60 minutes slot - and that's where he did his damage! That's where he launched the fake memo story! If he keeps his job there, might as well still consider this a whitewash. lonevoice: I agree with you. This is only a pale victory at best. As long as CBS has enough confidence in Blather to keep him on 60 Minutes, it proves they have zero interest in credibility or accountability.
And I agree with you both. CBS is keeping Dan Rather on 60 Minutes. Dan says he is looking forward to more "investigative reporting."
CBS is committing yet another fraud on the Amercian Public - pretending to take action for Dan's inexcusible use of disreputable sources and fake memos in the 60 Minutes Bush National Guard story, while slapping the American Public in the Face with Dan Rather continuing as an "investigative reporter" on the same show!

I'd like to SECOND that please!

I'd love to sock it to that arrogant Canadian loser, currently making his living in the United States. He is one smug sob and yeah you bet the new media is eyeing him real closely. As far as Dan goes, he's washed up. Even the libs I know agree. He shoud be exceedingly grateful thankful that our President and the Killian family have taken the high road in all of this and haven't leveled charges at him. 60 Minutes is pastureland. For goodness sakes, look at those geezers. It's literally painful to watch. Prediction, 60 Minutes will be cancelled sometime in 2006. I'm surprised the regular audience can even stay awake until 8:00PM.

Yep, and Dan is no spring chicken either.

Amateurs on FreeRepublic.com spotted them as forgeries just 2-3 hours after the show was broadcast. Woohoo! LOL!!! Good for you, Meek. I hope they kick him out.

...apparently the special investigation report is going to be very damning... CBS should lose broadcast licenses over this. They have compounded their sin. I will bet my last penny that if Lurch had been elected the "investigation" report would have been burried.
Dan would have treated to a special dinner honoring him at the White House, and Lurch would have sung his praises.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Wow. He's planning on going out in style isn't he?

Well, I don't get my news from Andy Rooney (the atheist)...
Can't figure out why Rooney is still babbling on anyway.
