45 minutes to go. If there is already a live debate thread go ahead and delete this.
I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!

Please tell me that I am mistaken. Bush looks nervous, smirky and insecure. His laughter at odd times is not helping.
I am worried, but maybe I am just seeing things wrongly.

Every Question to date has been liberal leaning. It's a disgracee the Repbulicans agreed to three liberal moderators. And President Bush has yet to speak to the cost of September 11th which is key in the cost of jobs to our country, to the deficit etc. All I can do is sit and pray and hope for better answers. Just heard the immigration answer....God help us.

Jobs forwhich no Americans will do FOR SLAVE WAGES!
To: Wonderama
Here we go...I agree. More attention to where in the heck these folks were born...you can only do that if you REGULARIZE the border. Dubya's plan is doing that.
To: modest proposal
Shiffer: I got more e-mail this week than any other question. I'm told that 8 million illegals cross our borders every year. WHat should we do about it.
Bush: I see it as a security issue, an economic issue, and a human rights issue. We have more border patrol agents. Using new equipment. Unmanned vehicles. A subject I'm very familiar with.
Many people come here for economic reasons. In order to make the borders more secure, we should have a worker program as long as there's not an American willing to do the job. That has the benefit of making sure our employers aren't breaking the law and that people are humanely treated and not kept in the shadows of society. It also means that it takes pressure off the border. If they have a card, they won't have to sneak across the border.
I don't think we should have amnesty and reward iillegal behavior.

Kerry has a plan to find a plan.
To: Maigrey
He heard you. He said so long as there isn't an american willing to do the job.
To: Jorge; pctech
I just wish he would say that between 8:45 and 11:00 on 9-11 this country took at $300,000,000,000 and counting hit!

This is a nerve wracking subject.
To: mattdono
Temp worker card... ut oh. No American willing to do the job. He just lost me with that. If you make the welfare folks WORK those jobs, there will be no jobs for illegals.
