The centerpiece of Kerry's candidacy - the he "defended this country as a young man and will defend it again as president" - is bogus and offensive...when Kerry protested against the war in Vietnam the charge was not only that it was "immoral" and "illegal", but also that it was a "civil war", that it had "nothing to do with the US", and that we "had no business being there"...suddenly when it becomes necessary, Kerry not only ignores his antiwar history and highlights his service, he also trumpets that service as being noble and praiseworthy...he has no shame.....

Why was Kerry not court marshaled for doing the same thing that Lt.Callie served time for? Burning villages and so forth.

"All John Kerry has to do is release his military and military medical records like President Bush did and this whole thing could be cleared up over night."

"Let's bring the subject back to John Kerry and what the Swift Boat Veterans have to say. That's the issue here. We need to investigate this further to see who's being truthful and who is not."

"Well, [Mr./Ms. left-leaning talking head] did you really expect a Democratic Party donor to help expose John Kerry?"

"If John Kerry wants to prove that we are not telling the truth, there's one sure way to do it -- he ought to release all of his military records, and let the raw documents show who is being truthful and who is not."

"Isn't it interesting that the types of questions we are being asked weren't asked about an obviously false piece of propaganda that goes by the name Fahrenheit 9/11?"

"If what we are saying about John Kerry's character , wouldn't you agree that it's important to know the truth before he is made Commander-in-Chief and The Leader of The Free World for the most important four years of our lifetimes?"

"The letters that the Kerry campaign and the DNC sent out threatening legal action against broadcasters that play our message are a preview of what to expect with a trial lawyer as Vice President."

"Presidential candidate John F. Kerry cannot have it both ways. If he wants to say that he is qualified to be Commander-in-Chief based on his activity as Lieutenant John G. Kerry, he should not be afraid of what his military records reveal."

1. Swift boats traveled in groups. (hold up picture)

2. We were spit on before when we served our country, Mr. Kerry contributed to that, so it's no suprise that some are out there trying to spit on us again.

Mr. President, I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia. I remember what it was like to be shot at by Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have President Nixon telling the American people that I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia

Another little tidbit is the fact that the Khmer didn't exist at least in the form of insurgents until 1970 when they numbered about 3,000.

Hey Tonk,

Since you are a fountain of Naval information as well as a bonefide expert in all things nautical (and all this arse nuzzling is leading somewhere)

Would you say that Kerry abandoned the helm and his post to pull Rassmann out of the water, and such actions might be considered "hazarding a vessel" as described in the UCMJ, and if Kerry or Rassmann is to be believed he quit his post while his command was under fire?

From what I hear, there was NO ENEMY FIRE
This from Swift Boat Vets next to his boat.

One was. Steve Gardner was Kerry's machine gunner.

JennyP sez, 'OK, here's a chant that everyone should use when Kerry mentions the word Vietnam "Form One-Eighty. Form One-Eighty. Form One-Eighty ... " This is the form he needs to sign to authorize the Navy to release his full service records, instead of the select subset his campaign has deigned to release so far.'

To deny the rights of his peers and his Commanding Officers to express their opinions is like saying Knute Rockne, who was after all, many yards away from the huddle and the actual play, well, Rockne has no right to substitute players or criticize their play.

"Anyone who has not contributed their own $'s to the Swiftboat ad fund, should have the decency to immediately donate to the Swift boat vets to counter the tie in with the mediots and Kerry."

I'm guessing you can relax. If the SwiftVets have any funding problems they will probably get an anonymous cashiers check for a lot of money from someone in Chappaqua, NY, perhaps mailed from New York or DC.

"Somewhere I read (maybe on the Swifties forum) that the top North Viet Namese commander, in his memoirs, had been considering a truce '68 - '70 because he was losing every major battle. Watching what was happening in the USA with the public opinion and groups like VVAW gave him the idea he would eventually win and continued to fight at the cost of more Americans. I'll see if I can find it."

I can help. The person heading the war effort was General Vo Nguyen Giap - if you google his name, you should find what you're looking for.

For these liberal talking heads (Colmes, Esteridge, Davis, Couric, et al) who claim that the Swiftees against Kerry never served on his boat and cannot have legitimate complaints about his service, I have a question! Who was closer to John Kerry on the rivers of Viet Nam? The 254 Swiftees who say he is 'unfit for service', or was it you?

These clowns forget that the Swiftees were there and these libs were not. The libs arrived at their conclusion of the truth by reading the liberal press, a media that they are now a part of?????

That's what I hear as well, but all I'm saying is that if Kerry and Rassmann did as they say they did, Kerry abandoned his post, hazarded his vessel, and quit his command during a "fire fight" and got a medal for it.

I'm surprized no one has realised that as of yet.

Any of the above are serious breaches of the UCMJ each in their own right.
