The following statement from Swift Boat Veterans for Truth concerns an article appearing in morning edition of the Boston Globe:
"Viet Vet Captain George Elliott describes an article appearing in todays edition of the Boston Globe by Mike Kranish as extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views. He reaffirms his statement in the current advertisement paid for by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Captain Elliott reaffirms his affidavit in support of that advertisement, and he reaffirms his request that he ad be played.
Additional documentation will follow.
The article by Mr. Kranish is particularly surprising given page 102 of Mr. Kranishs own book quoting John Kerry as acknowledging that he killed a single, wounded, fleeing Viet Cong soldier whom he was afraid would turn around.
Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has more than 250 supporters who are revealing first hand, eyewitness accounts of numerous incidents concerning John Kerrys military service record. The organization will continue to discuss much of what John Kerry has reported as fact concerning his four-month tour of duty in Vietnam.

Kerry served on three boats in four months.
This fact alone is telling.
Some of the enlisted are and have been cultivated over time to support Kerry and refute criticism by simply appearing on stage with him. Kerry put them in for medals after he put himself in. The boat was a medal factory.
Not all of them were really crew and only one has been vocal and works for the campaign. He was not crew, but was a Green Beret who Kerry plucked out of the water. A 30 year republican who switched parties in January.
The whole thing stinks to high heaven.
"Can they trust John Kerry with their-and their family's-lives for the ensuing four years?"
I don't want to make it sound too simplistic, but I think that a question like that will be the determining factor in who ends up the victor in this race.
Hopefully, we'll be able to pull this one out!
I know that I'm praying for something to happen between now and Election Day that will finish off John Kerry's aspirations for higher office.
And we now have it confirmed that McCain isn't smart, he's already spoken out against the vets.
Whatever apology Kerry gave McCain, it must have been a doozey for McCain to even talk to Kerry after Vietnam. I wasn't even a prisoner-of-war in Vietnam and I still hate Kerry for his anti-war activities...he tried to assassinate Congressmen for heaven's sake!
Hang tough Swifties! Be aware that Kerry probably has a goon squad left over from the Clintoon days.
We must help them, it is our duty to do so. This is how I see it.
We have a powerful voice right here with all of the good work being done on FreeRepublic!
"Republican, democrat or independent, we all share a loathing for John Kerry. We will continue to do so, even after he is long gone, and we will carry this to our graves."
Thank you for your story, and thank you for your service. You hit the nail right on the head. It is indeed personal. We MUST NOT LET the left CHEAPEN the very real case Viet Nam vets and their families have against John Kerry by trying to pretend it's an RNC political ploy. There are tens of thousands of us. It doesn't matter whether the sitting president is a Republican or a Democrat, we'd all be fighting Kerry anyway.
I don't know about you guys, but I think Kerry deserves his war medals. I mean, it's a serious accomplishment to not get shot in the head when you have as big a dome as his.
"most in todays society do not understand how personal this is with vets of my generation"
Amen, brother.
He spoke well, he looked good, he came across as sincere and genuine and was well received by Steve, ED, etc.
He was on about 8:30.
In Kerry's OWN words , he couldn't even THINK for 40 minutes after the planes hit the WTC. He sat at a table with some other Senators and none of them could THINK. They didn't move until the Pentagon was hit and the White House and Congress were evacuated.
I don't understand McCain .. but that is between him and Kerry
McCain doesn't speak for all Vets .. only himself
As for the part about the Congressman ... please stick to facts .. otherwise the left will use it against us
Yes Kerry was part of that group that came up with the idea .. but it's been reported that he did vote against it
That is, Kranish quotes Kerry as affirming the story about killing the teen Viet Cong. Somehow, Kranish smarmily is trying now to suggest there's news in the Swiftvet's retraction (which we also now know didn't occur, but even if it had...) that the Swiftvet had seen it happen. This cannot be news!
If the issue is about whether a tree fell in the forest, one cannot reasonably try to suggest it's news when someone at first thinks he saw the tree fall, then later says he's not sure, when the guy who chopped the tree down has admitted it doing it, and it's also attested to by several others.
This purposeful false and misleading premise alone, not to mention the mendacious tactics in twisting facts for this editorial is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS!! The guy is lower than Jayson Blair, and all copies of his Campaign Book on Kerry/Edwards should just be thrown in the dumpster, as it's clear he's an out-and-out liar.
That he's on the Globe payroll while moonlighting on the Kerry campaign, however, should come as no surprise. I think it would've been more damning if he hadn't been paid by Kerry, as it would have been a clearer admission of the Globe/NYT's contribution.
Nonetheless, I believe we're seeing a portent of what the media knows is yet to come. With CFR, the floodgates will unleash something right of out Stalin's world before the election, and President Bush has only himself to blame for signing that putrid piece of legislation.
Hold onto your hats! The US may need to make the jump to cyberspace news here, breaking the back of the acronymic networks. The democrats must be crushed completely this election cycle.

"Can they trust John Kerry with their-and their family's-lives for the ensuing four years?"
I wish McCain would shut up his trap. How odd that McCain takes Kerry's side. How odd.
If I have any misconceptions, it is because Kerry and his goons are misleading me and the rest of the public. I know he served only 2-1/2 months in a swift boat. Are you saying he served in 3 different swift boats in that time period? If so, proof please. Not that I'm doubting you, I'd just like to see it in print.
The point is that Kerry's campaign is making everyone believe the vets who stood behind Kerry were on HIS boat at the same time. Not true.
And the Kerry campaign's argument against the swift vets is that they were NOT on his boat at all.
