Summary: The DreamWorks' animated film, "Shrek 2," is billed as harmless entertainment but contains subtle sexual messages.
Parents who are thinking about taking their children to see "Shrek 2", may wish to consider the following: The movie features a male-to-female transgender (in transition) as an evil bartender. The character has a five o'clock shadow, wears a dress and has female breasts. It is clear that he is a she-male. His voice is that of talk show host Larry King.
During a dance scene at the end of the movie, this transgendered man expresses sexual desire for Prince Charming, jumps on him, and both tumble to the floor.
In another scene in the movie, Shrek and Donkey need to be rescued from a dungeon where they are chained against the wall. The rescue is conducted by pinnochio who is asked to lie so his nose will grow long enough for one of the smaller cartoon characters to use it as a bridge to reach Shrek and Donkey. Donkey encourages him to lie about something and suggetsts he lie about wearing women's underwear. When he denies wearing women's underwear, his nose begins to grow.
An earlier scene in the movie features a wolf dressed in grandma's clothing and reading a book when Prince Charming encounters him. Later, one of the characters refers to the wolf's gender confusion.
TVC's report "A gender Identity Disorder Goes Mainstream" explains the transgender agenda and the effort to deconstruct the biological reality of male and female. DreamWorks is helping in this effort by promoting cross dressing and transgenderism in this animated film.
"I can't think of any way someone can "distance oneself" from a sick behavior than to mock it and laugh at it. That's what you don't get. Far as I'm concerned, Shrek II presented it exactly as it should be presented - as a bizarre behavior deserving of ridicule."
Answer me THIS:
WHY should this even be brought up AT ALL in a "kid's movie"?
I NEVER get bored by truly great innocent, tasteful old Disney movies like ... Bambi "
Truly innocent? "Bambi" taught an entire generation of kids the evils of gun-toting, white, male hunters.
Someone better ensure that this group never sees the tape of Elvis Presley on the Ed Sullivan show.
Only in your mind! Perhaps you have a wishful imagination for this? ...
Rabbit of Seville
1.Well, the bartender character, whom you call the ugly stepsister, wore a dress, had breasts, and had a five-o'clock shadow. So, it was a she-male.
2.Because, like a poster on here previously said, promoting transgenderism in this sort of way, it proverbially speaking, "gets the camel to stick his nose in the tent..."
3. How can people with a mental disorder file for defamation? Shouldn't they be rehabilitated instead, to get them out of behaving the way they do? I mean, society locks up/helps many who have mental disorders.
1. In "After the Ball" the two homosexual authors laid out the plans of the homosexual activists of how to get "straight" society to accept them and indeed, how to dominate the discussion about homosexuality.
You should read the book or at least the summary which has gets posted every now and then on FR. One of the methods (as stated in their book which was printed in the 80s) was to include homosexual topics in entertainment in a humorous, harmless way - a gentle introduction. "Cute" and funny.
2. What is your viewpoint of homosexuality? Do you think it is harmless? Do you think homosexual behavior is morally equal to marriage between a man and a woman? And third, what is your opinion of the fact that children K-12 in California are mandated by law since 2001 to learn a "gay" friendly cirrciulum?
These are not rhetorical questions, I'd be interested to know where you stand. You accuse me of handwringing, so I'd really like to know your viewpoint.
Well, Rome's official exorcist, Fr. Gabrielle Amorth said "behind Harry Potter hides the signature of the king of the darkness, the devil."
"The exorcist, with his decades of experience in directly combating evil, explained that J.K. Rowling's books contain innumerable positive references to magic, 'the satanic art'. He noted that the books attempt to make a false distinction between black and white magic, when in fact, the distinction 'does not exist, because magic is always a turn to the devil.'"But what does he know.
I agree with you 100%! I am beginning to think a lot is overblown if they got this out of Shrek II -- went to see it with my daughter and I thought it was funny. I did not see an agenda at play in the movie. Call me naive but I think to get worked up over this movie is ludicrous!
Makes me wonder too if some of what we heard about the public schools from some folks is a bit overblown. I have three kids who had great educations in public schools except for one year in MA (home of Kerry) and I will continue to support a public school education because my three kids are better rounded and able to deal with people that don't think like they do!
"Point being that getting all worked up over a "movie" misses where the real education is being given, and living with it daily does NOT mean there are thousands (millions?) of cross-dressers going to school. It means that "IF" one, anyone, does it is considered acceptable."
your point misses the most important point, which is that parents are the ultimate guidance and instruction for their children and good parenting can counter anything that schools teach.
Dear Lord, it's a movie (and one of the funniest I've ever seen)! The bartender, for the edification of this prudish reviewer and those who might take his chicken-little pronouncements at face value and cower under their covers with a flashlight and their bibles in an effort to ward off Satan, was a wicked stepsister -- as in Cinderella's wicked stepsisters.
"Well, the bartender character, whom you call the ugly stepsister, wore a dress, had breasts, and had a five-o'clock shadow. So, it was a she-male. "
Two words for you: Janet Reno.
Not to mention that ogres are known evil critters, and this movie paints them in a sympathetic light.
You think this is all overblown?(Shrek 2)One of the main ways that the homosexual agenda has sought to desensitize children is to have them exposed to homosexual themes(like cross-dressing/transgenderism) which are presented in a funny, harmless way.
"By your logic then Sleeping Beauty promotes witchcraft because the evil witch "pokes her nose in the tent"."
Don't forget "Snow White", "Cinderella", the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and all other 'magical' characters of childhood.
