Whoa, I am sorry if I caused an elevation of blood pressure. You did not read the second paragraph.
My sarcasm is a way for me to release pressure here. I will note it's appearance in future posts.

That is a great picture. Full of compassion for the girl, but also with a "not now" look for the shutterbug Dad.
This guy is the real deal.

Thanks for the ping. I am moved by this photo and article and typing through some tears.
We are blessed by having this gentle but courageous man as our president. We must fight for him in the coming battle with every fiber we can muster. He is doing the same for us.

I have some policy differences with the President, but one thing I am sure of - this is a decent, honorable man worthy of my vote. A far cry from the previous occupant of the White House! My thoughts exactly.

Dang blurry monitor!
That's why I hate what the media is doing with these prisoner abuse photos. They're trying to make it seem like the President must be heartless for 'allowing' stuff like that to happen. FEH!
It seems he didn't even know about the ongoing investigation in the military until the photos hit the media. I'd read that he really reamed Rumsfeld when the story broke!

Come now, Kerry is a compassioneat man. I'm sure he would have had his butler give her a hug.

"Too bad this photo isn't on the front page of every newspaper. " The thought came to mind as I read this article and looked at the picture that the national press people and photographers who travel with the president see and hear these examples of his genuineness and goodness very frequently. It speaks to the type of people some of them apparently are that we don't read and see more stories like this from them. Thank goodness, there still are a few local papers who will do it.
I do know from first hand experience that an AP guy travelling with the president on one stop last month wrote a piece that was posted at ABC News that was an absolute misrepresentation of facts about something that happened at that stop. Some really appear to be trying to cast doubts about the president's character as well as his intelligence. So, even if the nat'l guys reported this, I doubt they could do it without spin and cynicism. No wonder they've lost their credibility with folks in the heartland.

Even TurAssSu doesn't want a hug from Kerry (You see the picture of here making a face when he tried to kiss her?)....So the manservant would be a better option.

Thank you Valin for the ping. The main stream wicked press won't say a thing. Look for Kerry to try and "one-up" this cuz Kerry is a slimeball.

You know what grabbed me about this story?
He had already gone by this young lady, and stopped, turned around and came BACK to her.
He's the most powerful man in the world, but this one girl's pain was important enough for him to literally change direction, and give her the comfort she needed.
Remarkable. Just remarkable.

I am moved by this photo and article and typing through some tears. I don't think there is a single person reading this thread that did not have tears in their eyes. If they didn't, they were DU trolls. I am doing what someone posted earlier, pasted it into an email and sent to everyone I know would appreciate this story.

Heres another great story about our president you will never see in the main street media. Apparently he kept his word to an injured serviceman who lost his leg and went jogging with him. Read the story and be proud.

Thanks for the ping. President Bush is one compassionate man. (Can anyone picture Kerry doing this?)
Or Klinton? He would have had his hand in her shirt.
