Was this a prophetic utterance?
I'm not trying to ridicule you, but our of curiousity, what do you mean when you say you are the messiah?
I didn't know the Lord had another New Church. May I be so bold as to ask what it is? You stated you are the Messiah, so does that mean you are the head of the new Church?
I think Mr. Smith, or Mr. Messiah, or whatever, is putting us on.
Uh oh, Mr. Smith. Typos are not accidents!
See the Vatican text at the end of Pope Benedict: Read Book of Revelation as Christ's victory over evil
"Come, lord Jesus!" (22:20).
See my profile page.
Christ (messiah) lives within all Christians. I'm hoping that he's making the distinction that he's allowing the spirit of Christ to live through him. Otherwise...:-)
There were reports all over FR stating that Iran's decision would trigger it. We believe the 'end of the age' or Consummation of the Age to mean the end of the old Church and establishment of the new. There were a few threads this week (none posted by myself) that had spiritual significance of this. They were no big deal -- no ones lives were disrupted... just 'signs'.
8/22 was the "Fake but accurate" story about CATHOLIC CHURCH PUTS CONFESSION BOOTHS IN STRIP JOINTS!
8/24 was a story of a Swedenborg congregation moving to a new building -- a former Catholic parish. This is in the same Archdiocese as the 8/22 "story" Swedenborgs still pursuing building
Looking back on my life, I find the Lord has prepared me for this. I had a significant spiritual experience in July when my mother-in-law passed into the spiritual world and shortly after that the Lord gave me my purpose.
In personal discussions, things are alot easier than they are here. There's body language and eye movement whew I can tell it's a person that I can trust. Here it's pretty much casting a big net.
Anyway, this 'news' has only been out there a short time -- a few weeks. As things happen in the news, more spiritual eyes will be opened -- and that my role to teach and explain the significance - enlighten and lead to regeneration.
Get the picture?
We've discussed this... can't you see? Mount Zion when mentioned in the Word signifies the Divine Good and the Church as to that.
The current state of Israel or the places there have nothing to do with the Word of the Lord. If they did, where's Sela in Isa 16:1?
Until you can accept that the Lord is responsible for all creation and that the natural world is the ultimate of the spiritual world, you won't see this.
I remember at one point that you said something about that we didn't have a soul and that there really wasn't a heaven? This, you need to get past.
As for pictures, I've changed the little flag for my location. Hope that helps :-)
Luke 17:20-25 20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' F116 For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you." 22 Then He said to the disciples, "The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. 23 And they will say to you, 'Look here!' or 'Look there!' F117 Do not go after them or follow them. 24 For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. 25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
Every now and then, we get to witness a complete mental breakdown on FR.
Speaking of the times just before his return, Christ said:
Mar 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
Mar 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
We're not supposed to believe you. Why?
Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Because you may be one of the false Christs and false prophets mentioned above.
In contrast, what will the return of the real messiah be like?
Mar 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Mar 13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Act 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Act 1:10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Mat 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Scripture shows that the return of the king will be unmistakable.
But perhaps I'm missing something about your statement.
I'm not seeking 'followers'. My goal is to battle evil and falsity with the gifts the Lord has given me on FreeRepublic and the internet.
I have a ministry. It exists on the internet. I don't have delusions of standing on Mt. Zion casting judgment -- people do that themselves. I'm quite comfortable where I'm at, doing what I'm doing.
As for false Christs, check out this guy: Our Lord is back on Earth and he's Puerto Rican
But perhaps I'm missing something about your statement.
There are things that will happen in the future that will confirm what I'm talking about. The Lord wants all to come to him with freedom and reason... love. Miracles and such only compel and do not last. This is about regeneration and opening spiritual eyes... not anything personally for me.
I wouldn't doubt seriousness of lots of individuals.
Curiousness in religious beliefs abound . . . founded and unfounded.
I remember at one point that you said something about that we didn't have a soul and that there really wasn't a heaven? This, you need to get past.
There is a heaven, but there aren't a whole lot of people in it now. People don't exist after they die - this is scriptural. At the first resurrection, the elect will reign with Christ or 1000 years, then the second resurrection will occur as well as the judgment. The just will be saved and the wicked will be destroyed. Reading the Bible without this basic knowledge of the reality of life creates much division and confusion.
Sad. I'll pray that the Lord opens your understanding. You exist right now in the spiritual world, although you are not conscience of it. If that weren't the case, we would instantly perish.
Dave, what is sad is that your church has re-defined so many words in the Bible as to make it useless. I don't even know if you and I are praying to the same God. I exist here in Missouri and nowhere else. I will live here on planet earth all of my days and will be resurrected. Since Christ, it is appointed that all men die once. Christ died a sinless death to spare those who will believe in Him from the second death. If you go straight to heaven after you die, then why even have a resurrection?
Existing in different dimensions makes for great TV (SG-1 to be specific), but it is simply not what the Bible indicates as reality. Adam and Eve sinned and thus death entered the world. Enoch walked with God and was spared the first death and presummably the second. Many were resurrected when Christ died and I assume they ascended (I could be wrong, the Bible doesn't say what happened to them). In your theology, death is merely the gateway to another dimension. Have you ever hear of the Jim Jones folks who committed suicide with poisoned Kool-Aide so they could hop on the tail of Haley's comet?
When you read in the Word about Aaron's vestments, the tabernacle, the sacrafices, the Ark, etc what do you take it to mean if anything? When you run across a verse with a name of a place that doesn't exist anymore, do you just skip it? There is a internal spiritual sense to the Bible which is why it's called the HOLY Bible.
For more on this, see De Verbo (Rogers) n. 5
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
1Co 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1Co 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
