Once a child reaches the age of accountability, they may indeed be regenerated in the spirit. Some may be of early age before ten, probably after 5-7, many perhaps in their teens, but eight isn't unreasonable, IMHO, but it really isn;t between us, but between the man and the Lord.
You may find the doctrines of original sin, the old sin nature and natural man to provide considerable insight in Biblical history. I encourage you to study the topic.
For example, it isn't surprising that some homosexuals might document a natural proclivity to homosexuality, but they also have an ability to resist temptation through faith in Christ.
Even though God is infinite, He is still able to be the object of faith by even a young child.
It is not the mind that is regenerated at salvation, it is the spirit. The mind is sanctified over time , also by the Holy Spirit, but by His plan and our remaining faithful and in fellowship with Him.
Doesn't sound like it's from Scripture
Simple faith is lasting faith. The most spiritual people I know are simple -- they don't concern themselves with a Trinity of persons or three gods. They worship Jesus Christ in all His Glory and Dominion.
Following the mind of Christ, we are led to consider the Father and the Holy Spirit, all one with Him, but perhaps your faith through Him is focused elsewhere, assuming it doesn't alter in His faith to the Father.
De Re/De Dicto and the dcotrine of Kenosis are well developed doctrines within the Catholic Church and time tested in Faith. You might find them worthy to consider in your studies.
BTW, if you still consider yourself to be called as the Messiah, you might ask our Lord Christ Jesus, what part of "It is finished now and forever more", was not quite finished at the Cross. Of course if one is spiritually discerning, the person speaking to you might not be identical with our Lord and God, Jesus Christ who sits in heaven at the right side of the Father and who sent the Holy Spirit. It's for you to discern with that person, we have discerned as it as been provided.
My goal is to defeat the evils of the world as succinctly described in Revelation. It was completed in heaven in 1757 and now is the time for the manifestation on earth.
You know very little about me. You have never met me. You certainly cannot 'discern' a judgment on my soul or person. I posted what I believe to be true and correct. I've known this for 25 years -- it's written on my heart.
I am at a time in my life now that I can dedicate all my energy to my ministry.
Now THAT's what you call a sola-scriptura absolutist! Dave won't believe that Israel hasn't been at peace these last few years unless you quote it to him where the bible says so. Bwahahahaha!
It's called a "possessive," wierdo. But I suppose your spirit guided you away from understanding the concept of possession.
DaveMSmith is the Messiah? Go figure. I doubt the moderators will consider it a personal attack if I suggest that I kinda thought the Messiah would be a little smarter. :^D
'Cause you all just KNEW that the Messiah would announce his presence on Free Republic, right?
Not out loud, anyway...
"Excuse me," "I just need to ask a question: What... does GOD.. Need... with-a... STARSHIP??" and why,..if He died ...on the Cross, .....does He need a...nother Messiah?
Dave, you never mentioned how the ride was on the clouds. What gives. Was the landing on Mount Zion bumpy?
Where in Scripture does it say that anyone 'landed' on Mt. Zion? I se in Rev 14:1 The Lamb is there with the 144,000
Matthew 25:13 - Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Isaiah 25 Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, And drives diviners mad; Who turns wise men backward, And makes their knowledge foolishness;
Isa 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
Isa 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Isa 10:12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
Isa 18:7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
Isa 24:23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
Get the picture?
ROTFL! Surely you jest?
Are you still here Mr. Messiah?
