Seems like there are different reports all over.
Eskew was the shooter who entered with Davis according to Fox!

Aha, a friend of Kobe Bryant. Well, this certainly took Kobe's problem off of the front page.

You must have been listening to a different cut than I was - because he did speak of business claiming to be hurt by the ban.
Regardless, he provided wrong information regarding the date of the ban rally - different people are going to take what he said how they wish to hear it. He should have corrected his error.
If the rally were a pro-ban rally and he made that type of mistake or gave any indication that there might be a connection between that rally and the shooting you can bet there would be MAJOR retractions and apologies because the pro-ban folks would be allover FNC for an apology.

Suppose a mere 5% of the entire population of NYC decides they want a permit. Where are you going to efficiently test and train 400,000 people? There are many more permit holders than that in several states. In the final analysis teh US Constitution should be enough permit for anyone. NYC has prosecuted a man in jail for defending his son in his own home. There is no reason for NYC's gun laws except to protect criminals and encourage violent crime.

You read my post correctly...I inferred (incorrectly) that the shooter and victim were further apart. Now I hear it was done at point blank range. I could shoot my PPK at something from 75', but I doubt I'd be very accurate.

Moron being interviewed on Fox (don't know his name) said that this was not an assault rifle but a handgun. Duh! Moron said no guns should be allowed in City Hall including guns carried by plainclothes cops. Well if they were not allowed to bring guns in, the shooter would still be alive and probably have shot other people.
This guy being interviewed with the fancy haircut is a total idiot IMO.

I think since we have homeland security, they just lock down the city when there's an incident like this. Or, it could be a situation where they didn't know if the shooter was acting alone.
Lt. skin, hispanic male, blue suit, shot, died in hospital. That's the latest i.d. I have for now. Now they're berating the security at City Hall. "Clearly there was a lapse here." Fox "Some kind of dispute inside the building. The guy took out his gun during dispute and shot Davis. Then the lt. skin hispanic guy in the blue suit was shot.

Twenty or thirty shots with a handgun No problem. My Steyr holds 19 rounds. Some Glocks, I think, holds more.

How dare you try to bring logic into the interview?

Fair enough, I see your point. I just disagree that Shep was on an 'anti-smoking tirade'.
To: Humidston
I've "disrupted" a news conference once in my life, and this is one of those times I wish I was there to ask the mayor just one question . . .
"Mr. Mayor -- Is it fair to say that this incident would never have occurred if the NYPD spent even half the effort on security in City Hall that they spend on enforcing the stupid f#cking smoking restrictions in this city??!!"
Thank you very much, you demented little bastard.
To: Labyrinthos
They could clear out the U.N. complex (or better yet, just the US delegation) and use it as a shooting range. Should save the taxpayers billions, while killing two birds with one stone, figuratively speaking. The average gun owner has a far better chance of a "good shooting" than the average cop. They should keep the cops in the kiddie range in the basement until they learn basic safety and responsible shooting. The cops need the practice more than the average Joe does.

yeah, there was some snafu where he didn't get all the proper paperwork filed ontime and thus was unable to run. He was very angry about it. (I'm watching WNBC on the internet).
