Neil says that shooting was caught on the City Hall Cameras But Neil is also quoting that info from the AP - and AP has already caused FNC to make a horrible mistake today - Shep Smith blaming protesting smokers for the shooting because AP reported a smoking ban rally at City Hall today. That rally is tomorrow.
I trust nothing coming from AP.

Didn't "Mr. Othniel Bogz Askew" run for the same City Council seat? Could he have been Davis's guest? Was he the shooter?
To: Dog
Wasn't Davis big on non-violence.....how come he had a gun?? Ask Diane Fienstein .. she's big on non-violence also
But I hear she packs some herself

Whether you know it or not, you just invoked the tired, old "Blood in the streets" lie. There are thirty-five states that have Concealed Carry Laws with no problems. And how many of those states have a population size and density equal to NYC? There are more people within a four clock radius of City Hall in lower Manhattan than the entire population of South Dakota. Indeed, the New York City Mass Transit system moves more people every day than the entire City of Atlanta. The entire population of South Carolina would fill only a portion of Brooklyn. What works in some places, including upstate New York, where carry is legal, is not practical in a NYC.

It was shootout between Davis and Askew...per WNBC..
If theyre both lying there dead, why was the city-wide manhunt launched, closing all the bridges?
Did the guns escape?

You forgot one more thing . . . Davis is one of the "friends" that has been interviewed extensively in the Kobe Bryant case.

Shep Smith blaming protesting smokers for the shooting because AP reported a smoking ban rally at City Hall today. That rally is tomorrow. I wasn't home at the time and didn't hear that
Shep .. geez, what an idiot

If Michael Savage is on live tonight, I'm sure he'll have something to say about this. I hope he misquotes the Mayor and raises the roof. Savage may be unique, but I listen to his rants when there's breaking news.

Errol Louis, who competed with Davis for Pinkett's seat in 1997, doesn't have a fond recollection of his former opponent. "He's a reckless person," Louis says. "Even in the rough-and-tumble world of Brooklyn politics, there are limits, and Davis crossed them." Louis says that Davis actually waved his gun before Louis's campaign workers in 1997.
From the article I posted on the previous page.

Although I know that every gun owning Freeper could hit and disable a moving target thirty yards away with one shot every time, NYC is something like 99% democrap/Rino. The reality of the situation is that not every law abiding citizen in NYC is capable of properly using a gun under fire, although most of them probably think they can. As a result, for every bad guy that goes down, there may be one or two good guys that go down with him. Pennsylvania is a "shall issue" state, with several hundred thousand concealed-carry-permit holders. Some large number of CCW-holders work in Philadelphia, and carry there. Downtown Philly, while not as crowded as mid-Manhatten at rush hour, is still a high-density urban area. We have not had any incidents that I know of regarding a CCW holder firing wildly and hitting innocent bystanders. Same deal with Pittsburg. Florida is another state with "shall-issue" CCW, and I've not seen any reports of innocents being shot in downtown Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Ft Lauderdale, or other major areas. Considering how anti-gun the press is, I'm sure I would have heard (over and over) if any such incidents had occurred.
CCW holders tend to be MORE serious about being trained, given the potential liability, than the average cop does. From talking to people who train cops, and supervise their yearly qualifier shoots at the range (a cop must demonstrate he can hit the target once per year), the average cop tends to not spend much time practicing on the range and tends to be an inaccurate shot.
