In Ukraine it’s tit for tat. However, Ukraine’s tits are getting ever smaller as Russia’s tats grow larger and larger.

Is it a coincidence that someone posts an article about Russia developing a new powerful conventional bomb that is now being used on the battlefield and in no time two articles later someone else posts about Ukraine destroying a new Russian Mortar system.

It’s hard to keep up with all the back and forth.

And yet Russian troops continue to advance in several areas along the front line

In feet and yards only.

Lol, well put. Russia’s not going to leave. Ukraine’s not going to win. Way past time for plan B.

Incremental territorial gains achieved only with huge losses in troops and equipment are not sustainable

Thus, we now see the furious & desperate Russian propaganda campaign, designed to get Ukraine to surrender

(won’t work, of course)

Well, we know the one is true & verifiable. The other one is based solely upon some social media post that provides a picture taken from high in the sky where nothing is clearly seen and in addition it has no date stamp attached to it.

But hey, I hope the story is true, for it proves they are doing just fine and that there is no need for our resources.

Which is what exactly?

Spreading “misinformation” that Ukraine is running out of ammo and soldiers to fight?

For example, for the last 2 years, certain FReepers have pushed the false notion that “Ukraine is already finished”

If that were true, the war would be over already, wouldn’t it?

There’s more lies ... all proof that Russia knows it can’t win on the battlefield

They both could be true, they both could be false, I don’t care either way at this point, I just find it funny that one side posts something and within minutes the other side posts something to counter the first post.

The main armament of the Phlox artillery system consists of one 120mm mortar/howitzer which can fire mortar bombs or artillery shells. It can fire a full range of ammunition as HE (High Explosive) projectile, guided projectile, and HE (High Explosive) mortar rounds. With mortar ammunition, the Phlox has a maximum range of 7.5 km and 13 km with artillery shells. The main armament is mounted at the rear of a truck chassis with an elevation from -5° to 80° and a traverse of around 35°.

The gun has a rate of fire from 8 to 10 projectiles per minute. On the top of the crew cab is mounted a remotely operated weapon station which can be armed with a 7.62mm or one 12.7mm machine gun. A bank of four smoke grenade dischargers is mounted on each side of the crew cab roof. The Phlox vehicle carries a total of 80 ammunition, with 28 rounds ready to use. In the firing position, the 120mm mortar/cannon is loaded manually by two operators located at the rear of the truck.

Design and protection

It has a crew of four including the driver, commander, and two operators. The crew cab is protected against the firing of small arms and shell splinters. There is two single doors on each side of the crew cabin fitted with bulletproof windows with a firing port in the center. The truck carries a total of 80 ammunition, with 16 rounds stored in a box located at the right side of the truck chassis, the remaining ammunition is located in a small shelter located at the rear of the crew cab.

Mobility
The 120mm Phlox artillery system is based on a modified 6x6 cross-country truck chassis Ural-4320. This truck is motorized with a turbocharged diesel engine, developing 300 hp. coupled to a five-speed gearbox. The truck can run at a maximum speed of 75 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 1,000 km.

“Russia’s Likely Death Toll in Ukraine Revealed in Government Filing” [103,000]

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4189476/posts

That was last September ... since then Russia launched its bloody assault on Avdiivka, which killed another 40,000+ Russian troops

So the total Russian losses are already at about 140-150,000

Put in perspective, that’s 7X what Russia lost in Afghanistan (1979-89, 15K) and the two Chechnyan Wars (1995-2000, 7K) ... except Putin they took 15 years to get to 22,000 dead, and Putin has reached 140,000 in just 2 years

*FAIL*

So the Russians took their 6000 km range missiles with 500 kg warheads and decided they don’t need nearly that range to Liberate Ukraine. So they took out most of the fuel and replaced it with explosives - now 850 kg. Then they figured out that this missile no longer needed to drop decoys since the air defenses are essentially gone, so they replaced that capability with even better guidance hardware. Now they’re hitting within 1 meter, according to one report (and shown, by taking out a small railroad bridge on a key highway). Seems the Russians take this crap very SERIOUSLY.

By the way, how’s that retrofitting of our Trident subs going? You know the one to try to squeeze women’s restrooms on board?
