So the Russians took their 6000 km range missiles with 500 kg warheads and decided they don’t need nearly that range to Liberate Ukraine. So they took out most of the fuel and replaced it with explosives - now 850 kg. Then they figured out that this missile no longer needed to drop decoys since the air defenses are essentially gone, so they replaced that capability with even better guidance hardware. Now they’re hitting within 1 meter, according to one report (and shown, by taking out a small railroad bridge on a key highway). Seems the Russians take this crap very SERIOUSLY.
By the way, how’s that retrofitting of our Trident subs going? You know the one to try to squeeze women’s restrooms on board?
Jean-Frankie didn’t make it.
The use of a truck chassis mimics the French Caesar 155mm gun and the South African G5 and the Denel T5-52. All of these truck-mounted systems have very limited fire fans (left and right traverse limits) and have to be shifted to engage targets further to either side.
Interesting that they claim to have a Direct Fire capability, since it's clear from the photographs that the tube can't be lowered enough for Direct Fire - the cab's in the way.
Despite the cheerful descriptions of this weapon's "advanced" capabilities - it's still a manually-loaded from the outside and doesn't appear to have any provision for powered elevation and traverse.
I'll stick to my mortar, thank you - The XM-326 120mm Automated Mortar System, the Dragon Fire.
Just like you to revel in bloodshed. You ghoul.
